Here's what I did.

I was so thrilled that the photo worked that I forgot to add that I bought the legs from Amazon. They are heavy enough to greatly increase the overall stability of the MFT. I can saw and plane and the MFT stays steady. The top of the extension is flush with the top of the MFT and the extension hole pattern matches that of the MFT.

Here's what I did.

Nice...nice installation, looks like a Record 52. I have never understood why more people don't add these, with quick release bracketry to their MFT's.

I understand the reluctance in mounting a 40/45# Record 53 to a MFT. It'd probably tip over.  [eek]
