It was probably like this, the marketing guy's boss said, "Figure out a way to get people to buy more tools".
Necessity being the mother of invention and all, I figure that's how vouchers were conceived.

However johninthecamper, if you want to be in the best position to take advantage of them you'll have to trade your camper in in a houseboat because there are no Festool vouchers in NA.

Also, you should wait a couple of years for the Arctic ice to melt enough to open a passage to northern Europe because they say sailing around Cape Horn in a houseboat is hell.

There are vouchers that exist in NA. I was given one this spring. It is 10% off in fixed intervals of $50 starting if you spend $500 to $2000 so the max discount is $200.  The vouchers in NA may be different because they are only supposed to be given to customers with no Festools. It's an incentive to get people to take the plunge into the green kool aid.

Devon,

If I'm offered a voucher and say I don't have any Festool equipment; do people come check my house....lol.

they have your serial numbers, they will figure it out

Haaahaa yeah but so easy to get round u can use ur wife's name but still same address cus technically she doesn't own any festool.  Or your brother sisters mum dad who ever.

Vouchers do exist in n.a.  Only one is issued per person, and it's something like 10% off every $500 you spend. You have to hammer your local fest rep. to get one. Also it's only good for 30 days.

I heard the same thing. I also heard that Alan got promoted and we have a new rep running aound the OC.

I havent met him yet. But I will at the demo at Woodcraft. I got some some questions for him.

What a contradictory process. The vouchers are there to promote the entry into owning Festool yet you have to know a guy who knows a guy to even know that vouchers exist...

yup, I heard that about Alan, I liked him a lot . I feel bad though cause I would hassle him  constantly for stuff. When's demo at woodcraft?

Alan is a great guy and I am happy if he got promoted...he has gone out of his way for me at times.  Good guy.  I have never heard of vouchers here, but that is pretty cool if they exist.  Sancho -- let us know what you learn from the demo...cannot make it today, unfortunately.
