Hi everyone.
I’m a little stuck deciding whether to buy such a sprayer or not.
https://www.wagner-group.com/en/do-...ories/product/universal-sprayer-w-590-flexio/
What I need to do is to apply silicate based paint to two basements with incredibly rough walls - that would otherwise take ages to get a presentable finish on with brushes and rollers. Not two rooms, but two basements consisting of about 9 rooms all-together. Will both be completely empty at the time.
PPE, means to seal of single rooms, high quality tapes and foils, (…) - all readily available to me.
I talked to Wagner about this and the silicate based paint I have chosen can generally be sprayed with that gun. Even though they reminded me that I will spent quite some time refilling with such a large undertaking. I still think it will put me miles ahead over using brushes and rollers. Also I’m highly likely looking at two coats, and will most likely need to thin, maybe even more than the maximum suggested by the paint manufacturer.
The reason I’m looking into this is that it also comes with a second container/nozzle suitable for thin finishes and I more and more start to like the idea of being able to use that later on/ down the road to apply coats of wood protective to the sheds and maybe other finishes.
What I’m NOT looking to do is actual painting/finishing to a higher-end as you would do to the likes of furniture, “car parts” or the like. Nothing, ever, like that.
Just, probably a one time job, doing the two basements, and only to get them to a typical silicate paint matte snow white.
And then spare me the brushes and rollers for the sheds and other garden stuff every couple of years.
I’m not sold on the Wagner, if there are other - Europe available - sprayers I’m willing to look around and get information on them.
So what do you guys think? Worth the shot, or bound to fail from the beginning?
Kind regards,
Oliver
