I love natural edge work, but my wife will only "tolerate" it as part of a significant outdoor feature. As we're considering a move, I'm not going to be slab hunting any time soon [sad] [crying]
Congratulations- looks like a great finish. Did you use a pumice product (the cans below looks like stuff I bought long ago but have yet used)? Also, did you use domino's for joining the base to the top?

Originally I only pocket screwed the legs and after some thinking I used the Domino to set the, some pl premium for the glue and the re-screwed the pocket holes
The finish is a product called CrabCoat Marine Finish by Crystalac
I use it in the boat yard for deck and cabin finishs often
