I like the angled base. It seems to work in a design sense when working with slabs.

Beautiful work on some beautiful wood.  I agree about the angled legs - they look great.

Sal, Nice job.
A great idea for the legs.
I am looking for the right slab for a small table for a special person.
If it fits, I might try your idea.

Well done !

I love natural edge work, but my wife will only "tolerate" it as part of a significant outdoor feature. As we're considering a move, I'm not going to be slab hunting any time soon [sad] [crying]

Wayne.  When you are ready for that slab hunting  I have a great local source

Sal, I have ToolNut zeroed in for Nov 5.  If you are gong to be there, I will be checking with you.
Thanks
Tinker

Congratulations- looks like a great finish. Did you use a pumice product (the cans below looks like stuff I bought long ago but have yet used)? Also, did you use domino's for joining the base to the top?

Originally I only pocket screwed the legs and after some thinking I used the Domino to set the, some pl premium for the glue and the re-screwed the pocket holes
The finish is a product called CrabCoat Marine Finish by  Crystalac
I use it in the boat yard for deck and cabin finishs often
