I felt it was important to warn the FOG members about doing business with Festool Junkie [mad]. I have made several purchases from Tim over the past year or so with no problems but my last transaction has had significant issues. I ordered a number of items in late June and two of the items were back ordered (a sorttainer and a long guide rail)  After a month of not hearing anything I sent an email to Tim to find out about the order.  I sent another, and another and another without hearing anything.  I then called and was told he had had a death in the family and they took my contact info and was told Tim would get back to me the next day about my order.  I didn't get a phone call back.  After another round of emails, I finally got a response and Tim apologized and said he would cancel my open order and process a refund.  About two weeks later, I got an email from the system saying my order was cancelled but when I checked my account there was no refund.  I emailed three times before I got a response and Tim apologized again and said he would look into it first thing in the morning.  I did not hear from him and emailed him again and he said he would reprocess the refund.  I did not see the refund in my account and sent him another message asking about the refund and have not heard back from him about this.  All in all I sent at least 10 emails and a phone call and still do not have my refund processed.  I am not sure what is going on at Festool Junkie but I would be very careful about doing business with Tim, or at least use a credit card so you can easily file a claim in case of problems like this.  I really did not want to have to post this kind of message but felt after so many attempts at resolving the problem, it was important to warn the FOG community.

Looks like a fair warning to me no hysterical rants about fraud ect. and you have waited two months to post you concerns.

I know that sometimes even good business drop the ball hopefully you will get a refund.

I am sure others will find your post helpfull.

EDIT

my post looks a little odd now, my post was partly in response to a post which has now been deleted.

Festooljunkie is the poop my friend. Everyone screws up once in awhile.

About 18-24 months ago I was short on cash one month and  Festooljunkie sent me a sander(not a cheap one either) for 30 days with no payment at all, no interest, nothing. It was at the time my Grandpa passed away(who I grew up living with), so it was really a nice thing to do for me at that time.. How many, IF ANY, Festool suppliers here would do that! He may not do that for anyone and  I had ordered many times from him and also have a business,  but still,  that experience made me a fan for life.

Sorry you had an issue, someone like that is not going to keep your money. I am sure it slipped through the cracks. Ask him for some free sandpaper or something, he may surprise you.

I will continue to order from him and refer him out.

About two months back I experienced a problem that was a carbon copy of Kevcoleman's.  My credit card company intervened (but also had no response from Festooljunkie) and reversed charges.

I have known Timmy C for a few years now and he is a stand up guy.  I'm sure this will get resolved, Eric

I've chatted with Timmy several times over the phone and we've exchanged numinous emails, no question he's a great guy and he's been a very good dealer for a lot of customers.  That said, I've heard of a few people having some issues over the last couple of months.  Festool Junkie seems to be having a tough time of it now, it remains to be seen if this is just a small bump in the road or a fatal downward spiral.  Caveat emptor.

Timmy is definitely a stand up guy.  Sorry to hear he's going through a rough spot.
Hang in there Timmy!

I have done business with Tim on a number of occasions with no problems.  I know the past few years have been very difficult for everyone, especially those tied to housing, even as indirectly as tool suppliers.  Tim started importing the Walko workbenches just as the stock market crashed, the housing market crashed and politicians went on a record spending spree leaving us all wondering what will come next.  I know that his Dad died in Florida during July and he had spent several weeks with him before his passing.  I can sympathize with his predicament and hope his business will recover.

Sorry about deleting my post without notice, A friend of mine just lost his 2 week old baby and i guess my reply to the original post was more out of emotion then logic. So i thought it best just to delete my post and not get involved. Again, my apologies to anyone who posted with my reply in mind.

It's only one experience, but I ordered stuff from them last week. They shipped promptly and everything was fully up to snuff.

I ordered a Walko-4 set a month ago.  Ordered Friday night, received Tuesday morning.  Crazy!

I also have some guide rails on order on the last day of the 10% off TS promotion.  They are back-ordered.  Guess a lot of us broke down for the 3000 last second  [wink]

I talked to him after he got back (after you order from him several times, you end up with his personal cell; it happens and that's cool).  Naturally lots going on.

Don't blame people who haven't dealt with him to have some trepidation; honestly can't blame you.  I'll keep giving him business when I can.

Hope the OP and others who had problems got them all resolved; never fun to have unnecessary problems like that.

Tim is a honest and very ethical guy who will go above and beyond to help you, he is, and will remain my number one Festool dealer.

Beware of Festool Junkie.com, I had the same issues as previous post and gave Tim every chance to make things right. I am now trying to get my credit card involved for the credit I am due. I do not normally reply to these posts but after 2 months of false promises from Tim he has left me frustrated and extremely disappointed.

I finally got my refund two days ago,  6 weeks after requesting my order be cancelled and many emails, most of which were not responded to.

As Nick mentioned Timmy goes way above and beyond and is a fantastic Festool Dealer. I know that he has had some problems of late and having his Dad die was very, very hard on him. But Timmy is a complete stand up guy and he will make right anything that are not so right now. I would trust Timmy with everything I have.

I had a similar problem with FJ. When I ordered they said everything was on backorder and my order would take 2-3 weeks. After 3 weeks I called to check in and they said Festool was backordered on the bulk of my items. I cancelled the balance of my order and called Bob. Everything was in stock and I got the order in 2 days. It took about 4 weeks to get my refund from FJ.

I didn't appreciate the runaround and their site it confusing so now I go to bob for my growing crack addiction.  Too bad too. I've spent a lot of money on tools in the last few months and would have stayed loyal if they didn't dick me around.

Hi All - I'm new to this site and new to using Festool products.  I currently have a couple of items and will definitely buy more.  I appreciated reading all of the feedback, both good and bad.  I always try to be very fair and reasonable with people I do business with.  But, difficult family situations aside, Festool Junkie still has a business to run and even if Tim has to take time off, it would not be unreasonable to have a number 2 person take care of simple customer issues.  It is not right, and quite frankly illegal for a merchant to charge your card without shipping your goods unless there was some program or understanding in place.  Like Kevcoleman, I just went through his exact same ordeal.  Must be something in common here.  Below is a dealer review I just posted on the Festool USA site:

**************************************************************************************************************************

Dealer Rating: 1 out of 5

My first orders from Festool Junkie was a CT33 along with some accessories.  The product arrived with no problems so I decided to place another order for a Domino DF500 Q Set along with the Domino Systainer kit.  After receiving an e-mail confirmation regarding my order I was expecting to receive the product in about 5-7 days. After about 10 days, I followed up with Tim via telephone asking about the status on my order.  I come to find out that he did not have any in stock and that he was awaiting a shipment from Festool.  His confirmation stated no such information.  After several more days, and no sign of any shipping confirmation I decided to call and cancel my order.  I spoke to an associate from Lincoln Tool & Hardware Co. aka Festool Junkie and the gentleman told me that Tim has to handle the orders and that he would relay the message.  Within a day, all I get was an e-mail fired back at me with the note: CANCEL.  No apology, no acknowledgement. Assuming that my message was received and my order cancelled, I decided to just move on and not make a big deal about how unprofessional this purchase experience has been.

Fast forward two weeks later when I open up my American Express statement to see that our card had been charged $1095 for the purchase.  I was not mad at this point, and I gave Tim the benefit of the doubt.  I called Festool Junkie and requested that the charge be reversed.  I e-mailed as well.  I GOT NO RESPONSE!!!

I called & e-mailed several more times and TIM NEVER RESPONDED NOR DID HE CORRECT THE CHARGE TO MY CARD.  I finally had to call AMEX to dispute the charge.  My outcome was favorable as Festool Junkie was not able to justify the charge.  This situation was extremely aggravating and uncalled for.

From my experience, FESTOOL JUNKIE does a disservice to the FESTOOL brand and it is disappointing that FESTOOL USA would allow their products to be represented in such a horrific way.  They are non-responsive and totally unprofessional when it comes to handling their business.

If you are thinking about buying FESTOOL, I WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS RETAILER.  You would only be buying yourself aggravation!

I plan to order about $3-4k worth of Festool this week and it WILL NOT be from FESTOOL JUNKIE.

So for those folks who have a great relationship with Tim, he should be really thankful to have you guys as loyal customers.  BUT, every business needs NEW customers to survive and grow and unfortunately for me there is nothing "Stand Up" about this.  I can't keep putting up big dollars not knowing if their is any substance behind his business.  More unfortunate is that he lost a customer in me.  I really regret that this is my first post, but I had to get this off of my chest.  Now I can just move on and hopefully make a few things!  ;D  Thanks.

I have done business with the FestoolJunkie and have had great service up to my last purchase several months ago.  Unfortunately the order was not filled, I was unable to contact anyone directly by phone or e-mail and finally had to cancel my order and purchase from another supplier.  Now I am in the process of trying to get a refund through my credit card company which may take up to 90 days, which from the time the order was placed could be as much as 150 days for a final resolution (my credit card was charged when the order was placed, instead of when shipped).  I was very patient with the FestoolJunkie, but was given incorrect information about the tools being out of stock because of production delays, which was never the case according to Festool.

Hopefully the FestoolJunkie will straighten things out, but in all businesses it's a lot of hard work to develop customers and a good reputation and easy to loose them.  I would still be a loyal customer if I had been dealt with honestly, even if it was bad news, but I do not respond well otherwise.
