These are being made to match the cabinet humidor I'm building. The legs are hand shaped with a spoke shave. The center is Waterfall Bubinga from Leer Jet. A friend use to work there before they closed. At the end, the employees were able to buy up all the veneer for a steal. I ended up being the beneficiary of some very nice woods. Anyway, please enjoy.

Wow, that is some nice veneer.  How do you get a depth of shine like that Bill ?

As always, outstanding work.

Woodguy.

Thanks very much. The rest is 1/4 saw solid Bubinga and Riff saw for the legs. The finish is so many coats of lacquer that I forgot. Somewhere around 10 coats. All block sanded through the grits to 2000. Next it's buffed with 3-M automotive rubbing compound. There's as much time in the finish as the build. I tease my hot rod customers. I tell them our wood work will give them a run for their money when it comes to the finish. [big grin]

Darnit Bill! You really have to stick with building boxes and let us amateurs build the furniture. Really. Stop embarressing us with your mad skills.  ;D

Beautiful table. Love that bubinga. Finish is flawless.

LMAO ;D It's the wood that makes it what it is. I just remove the saw dust.  [big grin]

Ha, I like this statement.  Good quote for a WW magazine... or Sysnotes.  ;-)

Bill,

After I see one of your posts, it takes me longer each time to respond because I have run short of superlatives.  I may have to get the unabridged Webster's before I say anymore about your magnificent craftsmanship.

I have deep admiration for your skill, creativity, patience and most of all your humility.

I truly appreciate the compliments. You guys really motivate me. There's more on the way soon. A few desk tops and a Scotch/humidor  cabinet down the road too. Maybe someday this will be more than a hobby.  [wink]

I own Audio 2000 in Tucson AZ. I do car audio for a living. We build monster sound systems and vehicles. Here's a pic of our old company parts chaser. To give you the scale, I'm 6'4" standing in front of our lil excursion. [scared] If you like, check out www.audio2000az.com. You have to let the intro run until it's done then you can go to the gallery.

I need one of those trucks to protect myself from the run-away Toyotas!!!!!  Wow.

As to your end tables - that is just beautiful wood and finishing. Incredible.

We sold it a few years back but I can asure you, it wouldn't pass a gas station. About 3 MPG.
