Waterfall Bubinga/Ebony end tables

These are being made to match the cabinet humidor I'm building. The legs are hand shaped with a spoke shave. The center is Waterfall Bubinga from Leer Jet. A friend use to work there before they closed. At the end, the employees were able to buy up all the veneer for a steal. I ended up being the beneficiary of some very nice woods. Anyway, please enjoy.

Thanks very much. The rest is 1/4 saw solid Bubinga and Riff saw for the legs. The finish is so many coats of lacquer that I forgot. Somewhere around 10 coats. All block sanded through the grits to 2000. Next it's buffed with 3-M automotive rubbing compound. There's as much time in the finish as the build. I tease my hot rod customers. I tell them our wood work will give them a run for their money when it comes to the finish. [big grin]

We sold it a few years back but I can asure you, it wouldn't pass a gas station. About 3 MPG.
