Sorry if this is a bit of a 'dunce-y' question, but I'm brand new to woodworking and such so I'm obligated to ask them.. ;-)
I have two doorways, (36" and 48"), that I have removed the doors from. The door frames are fairly robust and in good shape, so I've decided to just use a router to remove the door 'stop', and sanding smooth, giving the appearance of a passage instead of a doorway.
I want to make something to give the impression of an arched or arced passage rather than a rectangular 'hole' in the wall.. so I thought I'd craft up something 1-15" thick to fit into the upper corners of the frame. Simply a cosmetic bit that would serve no purpose other than to give the impression of an arc or arch.
What are those bit called? There has to be a name for them and it's driving me nuts that I can't sort it out.
I knocked up a quick drawing in cad with a very basic idea of what I want to do, (in white).
Can anyone tell me please? Thanks.
