Hello -- I've read the product description for an OF 2200 EB router and it states that the following is included when you purchase the router:

(1) 1/2" Collet
(1) Chip Catcher
(1) Dust Extraction Hood
(1) Standard US Guide Bushing Adapter
(1) T-Loc Systainer 4

I've got an opportunity to purchase a lightly-used OF 2200 EB, but it doesn't come with a Systainer case, so I'm trying to verify what else might be missing before I commit to it.  Although I'm no Festool expert, by any means, I do own routers -- so I know what a collet is.  Regardless, I'd like to know what Festool uses for a chip catcher, a dust extraction hood and a "US Guide Bushing Adapter."  If anyone can educate me about this, I'd be very grateful for the help...and, if anyone in the know can direct me to photos clarifying what these items are, that would really make things very clear to me.  Thanks for your time.

Welcome to the FOG!

The chip catcher goes under the router base to prevent the saw dust to spread making the dust extractor unit more efficient. Usually used on edges/trim but optional. Video where you can see the chip catcher at 0.34:
As you can see on the video, there is dust under only when the bit hit the wood, then it's almost dust free :D

The dust extractor hood is affixed on the router after you setup the bit and basically surround the bit entirely. The end is used (of course) to connect the vacuum hose. Note: this is for the OF 1400 not sure about how the OF 2000 is setup, I don't see it as an accessories on dealers website.

The standard guide bushing can be kept on and used with special guide bushing, like if you doing dovetail routing or inlay routing.

Originally the OF 2000 comes with a sys-4 which you can get for ~80 Tanos Sys-4 or Festool Sys-4 Both are from the same manufacturer.
