Ive had the 1010 since christmas along with the LR 32 system, i quite like it and i use it whenever i can.
Tomorrow i am picking up a second holy rail which i ordered with the tool, but it came in late.
I was surprised that there wasn't a guide bush supplied with it so i'm probably gonna pick one up as well.
But i was wondering what else you need with the 1010 to use the most out of it?

Its a nice size to use with dovetail jigs [cool]

The 1010 is a beautifully made router however for my Leigh dovetail jig I bought two (2) Bosch routers so that I can set one for the straight bit and the other for the dovetail bit and leave them set - no switching back & fourth.  The two Bosch routers together were about 2/3 the cost of one 1010.  When it comes to edge trimming etc. there is no comparison with the 1010.

I like the attachment I can use to trim edge banding. Never was a fan of edge banding till I got this attachment. Plus the fine adjustment attachment can come in handy to.

thanks for the replies,

I ended up taking some sandpaper and a new medium pad for my ETS, nothing for the router.
I checked the prices online, €11 per guide busch and €22 for the centering bit is hard to swallow for stone-age technology  rings that require screwing and centering and only fit one router  [huh]
Ill keep using my Bosch routers for that, the rings came for free with them, they fit all their routers, require no centering and are just clipped on without tools!

Doesn't the LR32 Kit come with a centering bit?  Maybe there are two sizes?

I can use a generic centering bit and guide bushings that are non-festool as there is an adapter that works.  Of course the Festool ones work well too and I have the set for my OF2200.  Maybe the scope of delivery is different outside of the US.

It does, but it's a flat one that only works for the LR jig. You need a conical one to be able to center all the different guide ring sizes.

Good to know as Im going to start looking for one so I can use the 1010 with my pc dovetail jig,

edited to note after looking in the systainer I realized I have the adapter to use to screw on the guide bushing so I should be able to use the 1010 w/my pc dove tail jig.i'll play with it tomorrow.
