What Festool Did You buy Today?

So now you have one that is half-full of Polystyrene?  :P

Kind of, but it is better than air and no attic lid :D It's very handy having the drill and the impact driver together for rough installation work and some space for the bits and drill bits inside the Systainer. I like it  :)

Hi,

I recently bought the MFK 700 with the zero degree base.  I do a lot of edge banding with solid hardwood.  I find it is a perfect tool for this application.

Bought the Shaper plate.  I bought into Shaper when it was still a Kickstarter and have all the bits.  Great for making jigs and lettering.

Forgot, bought rolls of 4.5 Granat from Hartville's Ebay site.  Their site is great for Festool deals, usually bad packaging.  Earlier bought another light stand, now have one for Duo and also inspection light.  I need to make an adapter so I can mount my Metabo  HPT 10,000 lumen for cordless situations.

Fixed it for you.  [big grin]

As much as I bought from them through eBay in 2021, I would have thought I would at least get a Christmas card or something.  I'm sure it still pales in comparison to their regular retail and professional customers, though.

For sure. I've gotten a lot of items from them the past year. Granat discs, hose ends, a hard pad for my ets ec 150, some vac bags, an extra plug-it cord, etc. All well below retail. They're decent with their "Best Offer" acceptance.

Ooh, that attic storage seems somewhat improved. Closer to the hinge, less momentum. I don't particularly like the attic storage, as it makes the box stand way less stable when opened. But having is nearer to the hinge fixes part of that.

Earlier this month I got the CSX.  I'm not concerned about the upcoming version on the 18v battery platform.  Anyway, I wasn't sure a drill would be worth it, but omg after using it I'm sold.  It's so good.  It has just the right touch and it's easy for me to use/hold.  I have poor hand strength due to a genetic disorder, so I don't like the giant drills with the giant batteries because it's hard for me to hold them when driving screws.  No issues like that with the CXS for me.  I also found the last Centrotec bit set still available at an online retailer so I got that too.  It's in the blue systainer with clear lid, has a ton of driver bits and a few drill bits.  The driver bits are also really awesome.  I'm very happy with it.

On Sunday I broke down and finally did it... I ordered a Domino DF 500.  I don't have a particular project in mind just yet but I've wanted one forever.  It showed up today and I'm so happy.  I can't wait to use it.  Luckily when I showed it to my fiance he wasn't mad at me, hahahaha.

A MFK 700 E-Q Plus 'new' on the 'used' market, in T-Loc Systainer, to avoid the space waste of the Sys3 as it's sold new in Sys3 M 187 while the one I bought ships in Sys T-Loc II, saving me 22.5mm  ;D

RTS 400 REQ-Plus…unfortunately although I’ve paid, it turns out it’s not in stock and looking around a 2.5 week wait [emoji23]

FS 800 I've been making a lot of shorter cuts lately, so it seemed like the right time.

Is the 'ridge' the same width as your 1400 rails?

I honestly don't know. I have not used it yet, and will probably not need to attach it to one of the others.
All of the rails I have "fit" the saw just fine though. I don't have to adjust it when switching.

I have it on the record here somewhere that I would never switch to Festool drills, I was too happy on the Milwaukee m12 and m18 platform.

Well you can guess what happened after I got the CSX. It is far and away my favorite drill. I may get the new one when it comes out. I don’t even care that I have 14 different chargers to account for now with all my different batteries.

I have that LE centrotec set as well! I complained about how much wasted space there is (also on record somewhere in my post history) but never got around to reorganizing into a sys mini, and still happily tote the full sized case along w my sys toolbox. Really glad I got it, wasted space and all. I’ll eventually reorganize it. Maybe next year.

Congrats on the domino! I need to use mine more. Maybe this summer.
