What Festool Did You buy Today?

So have you picked an RS 2 yet?
And don't forget about the DX 93, it's a lot more comfortable to use than the RO 90 with the delta pad.

FWIW...I've used the LS 130 with the scraper blade to remove tile mastic from plaster walls. (y)
Yes, I got the RS2 last month and I also got the scraper because I think you posted about using it to remove grout!

DX93??? And just when I thought it was time to rest...

Whoops...my bad. I misspoke, I used the scraper blade on the LS 130 to remove tile mastic from a plaster wall in the bath. It didn't remove all of it but it did remove most of it.

The DX 93 is smaller than the RO 90 and is more compact and easier to use in tight areas because it is a single handle design rather than a double handle design. I decided to sell the Fein multitool I used for detail sanding after I purchased the DX 93. The DX 93 is a true orbital sander compared to a Fein style multitool which just pivots 2º around a central point so the quality of the sanded surface is superior. Another nice option compared to a multitool sander is that there are hard & soft sanding pads available for the DX 93.

Where did you find the scraper for the LS130? I've done searches a few times in the past, but came up empty.

I found it at the Woodcraft in Rockville, MD. I didn't see more though. I tend to stop by and visit Festool dealers when I'm out and about. I find that the longtime dealers sometimes have unusual finds (like the scraper or the extension plug for the separator), sometimes they have discounted closeouts, and then others they have crazy deals on dead stock items - like the WA-HL Angle for the HL850 for ten bucks.

Well, i cracked the sads at the amount of work required to get power and my midi to a location to clean out a comms rack i had installed and fit off last week, and found and purchased an ex demo 18v midi from eurotooltechnic ( australias average version festeool recon for festool and fein items).
$820 delivered, 1yr warranty but without batteries, charger or vacuum nozzles.

I figured i could use some of the gift vouchers ill get at xmas and pickup the 8ah battery pack later and use the 5ah's from my TSC for the time to save a bit of moneys, instaed of trying to find $1700 now.

Delivery address was given and shown as my place of work - as i didnt really want the wife to know id purchased another vacuum when it rocked up.....
Returned from an overnight bush trip to find the sucker in the entrance to my house 😨
Luckily i think she walked right in, opened the door and headed up the stairs without seeing it ( i hope), ran down to put away my tools from my trip and put it straight in my van.

The DX-93 was discontinued around the time of the RO-90, no? That's gonna be a hard find, but I have confidence in @onocoffee and his ReStore
The RO 90 was released in March of 2011 and the DX 93 was removed from the Festool catalog in 2015 so there was some carry-over. I agree that @onocoffee has some sleuthing to do but I'll still put money on his finding something...and at a cheap price. :) 💵 :)

Thanks. There is a DX93 listed in Connecticut. But I won't be around that area for awhile. However, I do see them come up from time to time.

Very nice. I still find Iuse my 55 more because I like a riving knife on solid wood and the cordless is tough to beat. But for more capacity, it is the way to go.

Howdy folks. New to the forum or should I say “Hi, my name is Joel and I’m a Festooholic”
I bought a KSC 60 from FestoolRecon today. I have a 120 and love it. We just built a new shop and need a dedicated miter saw for it so, I made the sacrifice & bought a 60 to use for site work solely to donate my 120 for shop use. I feel I’ve martyred myself and can now truly enjoy the holiday season.

Im about to order more and id like to know her opinions on the best online site to order from. I normally order from Hartville Hardware, simply because of the excellent customer service. Are any dealers offering perks?

Edit: I'm in the USA

New here. Starting with a bang. I just ordered the Limited Edition 100 Years TS 60 KEB-F-Plus Track Saw with the matching 55" track and the newer CT 36 EI HEPA Dust Extractor. I'm replacing my older saw and shop-vac in preparation for a bunch of DIY projects next year.

I typically use ToolNut and they ship quickly and for free. They do have a points program that results in money off future purchases and since it's a payment method, it can be used to help pay for Festool products that are not discountable under normal circumstances. But there are so many dealers out there, all with their own programs. I started using ToolNut after "Uncle Bob" retired.

Mine have come from everywhere, some from the local retailer, from Hartville, Toolnut, Highland Woodworking, etc.
It was pretty much based on who had it, when I needed it. A few years ago, supply chain issues ruled.
My recommendation, buy tracks locally. Dealing with shipping damage is not a factor there. If you ever need parts, for some reason, Highland seems to stock the most.
The TS60 is fantastic, you'll love it, but don't be shy about blades. Different materials require different blades.
