This is my retirement gift to me...and now I have time to use it. Often, I hope. :)

Just received my new TSC. I elected to buy the Basic saw instead of buying the Plus that came with the chargers and batteries. Once I saw that I could buy the batteries and the chargers for the same exact price as the Plus, I decided to get the 6.2 AH batts instead of the 5.2 AH batts that come with the Plus. Looking at Toolnut, and on Amazon, the Plus saw package supposedly comes with the TCL 3 charger, which played into my decision to buy the Basic so I knew I would get the Airstream charger. Looking on Festool USA, however, the Plus does comes with the SCA 8 charger instead.  Hopefully Toolnut will update their item description. [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member]

Interesting that the 6.2 AH battery costs essentially the same per AH as the 5.2 AH batt. $95 US vs $80 US.

Regardless, I now have my cordless TS with the larger size 6.2 AH batts.  Now to just put it to work. 😃

Snagged a 2200 router from the recon sale and then lucked out and picked up the accessory kit from Amazon Warehouse Deals.  Merry Christmas to me!  ;D

I did the same thing,6 ah bats and airstream charger.
I bought the basic saw to spread the $$$ out, and have since got the batteries and charger.
Love the saw btw.

[member=2575]thudchkr[/member], thanks for the heads up and sorry for the incorrect info on the PLUS. I've made the correction. The SET was correct.

Hey, I don’t mean to rain on your parade ...but once you’re retired, you’ll have even less time to work on projects than before...just sayin.  [big grin]

Makes sense. Battery Management parts, housing, handling, etc all stay the same. Only bare cell costs increases a little. Like from $30 to $35, or a $5 increase.  [tongue]

That's why for building a few batterypacks myself (other use) I opted for the Sanyo 20700 cells; yes, they are more expensive per Wh than some 18650's, but cost in cabling, protection circuit, connectors, glue, solder, silver strip and heatshrink stays the same, so the higher the capacity per cell, the better; counted over the entire pack, $/Wh is probably still better.

Hah! I'm in the shop every day now unless I take a day off. But yea...busier than ever and loving it.

Recently added a CXS, a T15+3, as well as a Syslite and the Sysrock.
Just pulled off a great bar/entertainment area for a local oilfield company. Photos coming soon.

Busy month. Picked up a recon TSC 55 just before Thanksgiving. It seems like a new saw that had some pitch on the blade. Kinda surprised that there wasn't a new blade in the box, but hey, it was a deal. Keeping the corded TS 55. I like redundant systems.

I've also got a Kapex and a Syslite on the recon site earlier in the year and both of them are pretty close to new condition and were shipped very quickly with excellent notification sent.

I decided to go with the Domino 500 for face frame work. I usually have a beaded molding going inside the face frame so having biscuit slot corners showing wasn't a problem but I wanted a better connection to the casework, and the 6 x 40 Domino does that.

I was so impressed with the quality of the product using the Domino 500 that I went to the web and ordered the Domino 700, figured why not get it now, in case the timber bookshelf job I'm going to use it for starts after the price increases.

I'm a newbie.  Just got my CT26/Rotex 150 Sander combination.  Except the sander hasn't arrived, so I'm salivating.  I also got the ultimate dust deputy, and I think it will make the bags last a lot longer.  Will let you know how it works.

I bought the Domino XL (DF700) and all 3 Domino kits with the Seneca kit.  Excited but for 2400 dollars it stings.
