What Festool Did You buy Today?

So my wife wants me to build a new garden bench which is going to require a lot of 1x4 slats getting joined together.  I have a DowelMax but was thinking a Domino would be a lot quicker and less stress.  ;D  We don't have the design finalized yet but I'm not sure how often I'm going to need it going forward.  Should I pull the trigger?

Yes.

Very few people have post Domino purchase regrets. Add to this the fact that you could get your money back on it later if your mood shifts!

C18 with a bonus battery 4.2Ah [sad] and another Panther blade for the TS75.

Yes I would buy the Domino (I have both Domino machines) and after 40 years of woodworking the only joints that I've seen failed (in commercial high end furniture) were dowel joints in Danish modern furniture.

Several books like "Understanding Wood" by R. Bruce Hoadley and others explain in technical detail why dowel joints fail.  Get the Domino joiner, you won't be sorry.

I can not say I had anything bought by Festool lately. It reminds me nice present that I received from the local representation of the brand.

It's a powerbank to power your mobile devices that got out of juice.

My new favourite festool, FSK 55 saw with the 420 rail. Snazzy piece of kit. Really light. Has plenty of power from the 18v 5.2 battery and cuts beaut. Love it and the rail is genius.

Kinda makes you think there's an update looming for the traditional TS bases soon eh?

Just ordered a new FS55. I already own an older model (2007) that is going to ‘live’ in the CMS-module.

Kev yeah I reckon the awkward way to set and reset the saws angle true is surely in need of updating, since they have done it with the HKC you would have to believe in doing it to their ts saws soon. That'll give me a new dilemma, do you sell and update or just stick with what otherwise is a great saw anyway.
