What Festool Did You buy Today?

Yesterday, I received my ordered DTS400 in carton. In carton; because I don't need an extra Systainer and it suits in a Sys 1 with my also new RTS400. I also received a Sys 5. For my glue tubes, silicone tubes and tube gun.

I didn't realize you can buy festool items without the systainer? is this in the uk?

It's an option down here too, mainly sanders. If you are workshop based, be it joinery, furniture or vehicle panel work, do you need a Systainer?

A little shout out for the Parf dogs and its creator who is a dedicated Festool user. I own and use a full set of Parf dogs on a regular basis. Definitely a great complement to my MFT. While I don't think they make having a full MFT/3 with fence and rail obsolete, they definitely are a great time-saving accessory to use. Yeah, it's nice to be able to lock down the parf dogs. the other ones can move slightly in the hole with pressure -- not a big deal if you're just using them as a stop, but for precision work it really helps to have them locked fast in the hole.

I took the plunge today and bought my first Festool! I got the Domino joiner and can't wait to get started.

I liked the Vac one so much that I ordered the two.  I already have two of the Virutex vac clamps but bought the Festools because of the versatility of clamping options.  There have been comments regarding the price of these but compared to the industrial systems that are available, these and the Virutex are deals.  There are systems that the glass industry uses the are essentially the Vac I one on a pedestal ($3600.00) or table mount ($4000.00)

I got my hands on some lightly used Festool's last weekend from a guy who sold out all of his tools.

T18+3 Plus
Centrotec 2015W
PS 300 EQ-plus
TS55R with 2x 1400mm guide rails (going to sell the saw since i already got an TS55)

And also a DS400 sander and a d27/d36 cleaning set in old systainers.

The T18+3, Centrotec, PS300 and TS55 looks brand new, and the DS400 is in great condition.  [big grin] [thumbs up]
