What Festool Did You buy Today?

today, I treated my self to a HKC55, lovely tool, nice and weighty, are the specific guide rails worth the money, or should I just carry on with the standard rails ?

[member=41542]Dangermouse[/member] they're almost mandatory!! I've barely had call to use mine, but they are incredibly effective from just the simplest of trials.

I've got the medium and the small FSK rails and I will get the 670 ... I just won't bother till the HK85 lands here in OZ.

Get the small one to start with .. skip the medium one and go straight to the 670 after that, the medium one would be a bit of a wall flower if you had the other two IMO.

I bought the Plus version with the FSK 420 and added FSK 250 the small one, I will get the longest one if I do a lot of subfloors, but otherwise I plan on using my FS 1080/2 for now..

IMO the FSK tracks are highly recommended..

Finally stop agonising and order an early Xmas present for myself, RO150 on its way with an abrasive assortment

So for fathers day (sort of) i would up picking up the CT26 and Rotex90.  I was looking at the RO125 but given whats on my todo list this year, the ability to get into the corners sold me.  RO125 may have to go on the Christmas list.  Got a chance to play with it and its quieter than the PITA shop vac, so happy all around.  Looking at picking up the 50mm hose as that may be good for the contractor table saw. [smile]

I finally bit the bullet and bought a PDC to compliment my CXS and replace a big, heavy Makita percussion drill.  I got the Set version with two 5.2Ah batteries and the right angle adaptor, but I also bought a 2.6Ah battery to make the drill lighter for when it's being used for less taxing duties.

I did consider splitting the purchase and buying the T18 and a BHC, but the lack of roto stop on the BHC is too limiting for me and I need a hammer action for drilling into concrete, brick or tile, so the T18 wouldn't cope on its own.  It's a shame really as I would have liked to retire my Makita SDS drill as it's a bit big when compared to the BHC.  The one thing I will say about the PDC is wow, the percussion action is LOUD!  [eek]

I bought the PDC Set version, but the retailer sent me the Basic version and all the various extras - batteries, charger and right angle adaptor as boxed extras.  I guess they didn't have the Set version in stoc and they've sent everything that comes with that version, but if I register it with Festool it's only the Basic version - I guess it's not a problem?

Simon.

I got last Weekend my Domino DF500 and my new Rotex RO90.
I'm super exited about my new toys.
I had the chance to make some mortises and am shure my Makita Bisquit Jointer will not see much light in his future.  [scared]

The Rotex is really nice for Corners  but it's a shame that you get just ONE piece of sandpaper (round and Delta) with it.
So I can't really test it until my order of papers arrive.  [crying]

Greets from Gemany

Tyros,

I didn't use my biscuit jointer much to before I got my domino 500, after I got it I gave my biscuit jointer away

I pulled the trigger again,
ordered an OF 1400 router a view minutes ago.
This will be my first "major-router", till now I'm working Makita 0700 wich is fine for starting but hasn't got enought power to handle hardwood like oak or beech propperly.

Got it on rakuten.de (something like Amazon) with a 10% Discount during a short time sale.
So I gues, 640 € including the 10 Routerbit-Set is pretty cheap for the machine.

OF 1010 I hang a lot of doors and have been using my OF 2200 route the hinges while it does the job I think a smaller router will make my life easier  but i don't do it enough to justify buying a dedicated hinge router  .I Also ordered the LR32 system as I have been doing a bit of cabinet making lately  and again hopfully this will make my life easier  and help me expand the making boxes with doors side of my business.

Got the hose and plug-it in the sock/sleeve/thingy thing x5m and lots of mahogany dominos

Just bought the CMS setup

CMS OF 2200 SET , that with the CMS GE router module insert mitre fence and the OF 2200 plus, so I'll have to get the Accessory set for hand held use with the router later perhaps the MFS 400 etc at the same time.
CMS Sliding table
Side extension and off cut extensions CMS VB and VL
dual Vacuum hose CS 70 CMS GE
CMS TS 75 module insert, I already have the TS 75

I'm waiting on getting the LA stopper Fence, as I need to have some money for Router bits and materials.. The shipping added in was a extra it came to around 70 Euro, paypal fees added another 43 euro, a surprise as my other dealer kept the shipping at fast low price of €19 no matter how much was on the order(insane really), but on the other hand the prices on every item was less at my new dealer then anywhere else.. They also have a more up to date inventory on the Festool

CT-26, wet filter, extra bags, and the compact cleaning kit.  Rotex 90 is the next planned purchase.  Watch out, slippery slope!
