What Festool Did You buy Today?

I received my cordless barrel grip Carvex yesterday! Wow.... also i'm already using it upside down and it is indeed easier to follow a line that way, much better visibility. Although I do have to practice because it's not as easy to keep the cut at a nice 90... gravity does not help from the underside!

Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

[member=44099]Cheese[/member] curious whether the Special Edition Sys 2s have the reinforced bar between the hinges with the slots to hold small parts boxes?  I have noticed that Tanos branded systainers differ from the Festool branded systainers in that regard and am just wondering about these.

Hey Dick, I'm assuming you're talking about the removable hollow bar that's captured by the hinge pins...sorry nada, just open space.

Never knew what that bar was for until now. [smile]

Thanks for the info.  I also wondered why that bar was there until I saw a picture of some parts boxes hung on it.  The boxes also fit into the external label slots in the same fashion as the aux handle or accessory hooks do.

Edit: I have also noted that a few of my systainers have the bar with out slots, just a continuous surface.  Must be different production runs.

I have not posted here for some time, even though there have been a lot of Festools added to the collection, but today I need to share. :)

I finally got a PD 20/4 corded drill! 8)

Built in 2014 it was a demo unit and I found it at the Festool dealer. New dealer to me, since I just moved here...
After a bit of negotiation they gave me a very good price for the unit (SYS2 and basic parts included).

Main goal was always to get this drill for a drill stand, since I can not see myself getting the space to be able to have big drill press anytime soon.

I am very happy and am still astonished about the machine.
What a sexy tool.

Hopefully this concludes my drill-addiction for now. (PD, PDC, C18, CXS, BHC)
At least until the rumored cordless impact shows up next year. ;)

I have the similar DR18; I wasn't sure if these machines were still available - and given how rarely (virtually never) they are mentioned around here, I thought I might be the only person to have one!
It's a lovely machine.

I received my second order from The Tool Nut today. Some sandpaper and a systainer to go with my new RTS 400 that I recently picked up from Festool Recon. I am really impressed with Tool Nut but probably not for the reasons you would expect. Tool Nut is one of the few companies that I order online from that has a first class shipping department. This stuff came so well packed I couldn’t believe it! I order a decent quantity of tools and supplies online and you might be surprised how much of it arrives damaged or at least in terrible packaging. No sales tax, free shipping and packed so professionally! Thanks [member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] !

I purchased a TS55 and MFT/3 a few days ago. My first bit of Festool. Soon to be followed by many more I am sure  ;D

I just ordered a Vac Sys.  I finally pulled the trigger after noticing the reduced price and getting a few questions answered by [member=6555]Shane[/member].  All the favorable comments in this thread also helped with the decision.

I ended up ordering the set with one unit and the extra pads.  I think that will serve me better than two clamping units for about the same price.

Cannot wait for it to show up.  I have to route/sand 12 charcuterie trays in the next week or so.  I think this kit will be a big time saver for that job.

I've actually been selling tools lately. After some years now of being a hobbyist, I realise the tools I really don't use. Sold my TS75 (I have the TS55) and Carvex in the last few weeks. In both cases, I sold them for the price I paid (obviously some years bettween the purchase and sale). Still pretty amazing that you can do that with tools.

Well I replaced the pad for my ETS 150. I went with the new pad design. It was easy to replace and pretty darned good as far as Pads go. I also bought the filters to turn my CT22 into a wet vac

Well went and Did it [scared] Bought a MFK 700 kit along with  the edge guide with the edge banding bit. I played with them in festool end users classes and its a pretty nice router very good for edge routing. Even though I already have the 1010, I think this  will be fun to use.

Managed to snag another Festool 497926 CT Dust Extractor Blast Gate VS-CT AC off Ebay for $20+ less than list.  Still trying desperately to resist clicking BUY an the MW 1000 set.

ETS EC 150/5 EQ-Plus [smile] [smile]
