What Festool kit do you really want for Christmas?

A box would not stop a pregnant hormonal wifey if I dropped $10k on a tool that does something that apparently I can do just as well by hand  [unsure]

A buddy of mine who was a neighbor in the UK sent me photos of the snow, while I was out picking lemons from my lemon tree

Been joining rails to breakdown sheet good for about 4 years now.  Even though I am not a professional, I think that is long enough. So At the top of my list is an FS3000.  If for some strange reason Santa thinks I have been good enough to warrant two presents I would add add a CT SYS.  Been doing a fair amount of remote work lately.  It would be nice to load a few sustainers, the CT SYS and tool box and be on the way.

I could add a third and fourth choice but no chance I have been that good.

Id like either a contra kit or the vacuum kit,...some day Santa will be good to me ...

You are retired now so you have to do your buying in smaller steps - unless you strike oil in the garden  [smile] so start digging !

Well I ansered the question I didnt say I would rush out and buy it.

Hi!

Honestly, Christmas gifts (and actually gifts in general) nowadays (and basically since becoming an adult) is more about the "little" surprise gifts. I love giving and receiving "little", well meant, doh-dahs the other person knows nothing about more than dropping hints and "acting" surprised when opening... Gifts like that have a whole different meaning to me/us.  Additionally I have "horrific" memories dating back to childhood when Mom & Dad would buy stuff together, than wrap it and put it under the tree as "gifts" to each other... I'm not going to say it can't work out or argue with them ;), for them it did work out and they've celebrated their golden wedding (50th wedding anniversary) and are still going strong... But I always thought/feared it would be the end of my relationship to my SO if we started gifting "household"-items that are basically just an anyway necessary purchase...

If I/we "need" a tool/something it's bought and thats it. Gifting to me means thinking about the person it's for - so it happens that I stroll through a store or mall, see something that reminds me on someone and I buy it to gift it to him/her at some point, sometimes "immediately". Another very positive side effect: Zero Christmas rush. We go and enjoy the stores, mall and Christmas markets but we don't need to haste from one place to the next to get everything together.

So no Festool for me for Christmas, unless my SO (or someone else, lol.) went rogue at some point, of course.

Speaking of New Year, I'm pretty much "sold" on the BT module and batteries, additionally I will closely monitor if (and if, when) Festool is going to drop a CT(L)-SYS with BT next year. If that happens, it's a 100% purchase.

Kind regards,
Oliver

I love the CXS. I use it almost as much as the Kapex. The PDC has a lot of merit and has (I understand) the fastest speed of any battery powered drill on the market. The battery lasts forever. If you have seen my video putting a new roof on a stable block then you would have seen that drill put in well over 1200 long(ish) roofing screws on one charge.

The drill that I really want right now is the C18. My friend has one and I was going to borrow it for a short video but he did not have all the accessories. He may by now have sold it on ebay and gone for the PDC18.

Peter

The Fein ASCM 18 I had for about two days is as fast as the PDC.  It also has a soft start and a useless clutch (versus the PDC's spot on control); which is why I only had it for two days. :0

EDIT:  I forgot the important part... I want:

A.) Kapex with UG stand and fences or fastcap fence.
B.) OF2200
C.) Vacuum Clamp
D.) A cxs to replace the one I gave to my sister

Keep your eyes on the northern sky late on Christmas Eve - I have passed your message on to a friendly elf who dropped in a few minutes ago.

Hmmm. Christmas is near...

I have been thinking. Fortunately I got a lot of Festools already this year. So to top it off, maybe:
- MFK 700
- DF 700
- UG Stand with Wings for my new KS 60
- DTSC Sander

But I’ll be happy with anything and nothing, since the greatest gift is just to be alive and be able to woodwork and share time and builds with friends and family. :)

I dunno, my daughter said I'm on the naughty list.  Specifically, I'm on the naughty list because I am a naughty poo poo head and I poo in a diaper.    [big grin]

We have all done that and maybe get to do it again so keep your hopes up and do not lose faith.

I shall pray with a rosary fashioned from veritas parf dogs and ujk rail clips.

Well I'd like a 110 volt LS130, an MFT insert for the router, oh and an accessory kit for the OF2200e - but I'll settle for a nice dram of a single malt Scotch by the fire after Christmas lunch

I'd be quite pleased to have a Festool hoodie. (if they don't make one, they need to be working that out...)

I wanted the Festool 499901 SYS-Storage Systainer, and I got one from my
wonderful wife, along with the Kreg KMS8000 Precision Trak and Stop System
which I will install when I build my new miter saw station.
