That is really slick.  Nice job!

I'm curious as to why you cut openings in the side panels.  Less weight?  (Edit, I see someone beat me to my question.  So the openings are cut out of solid panels).

Thanks, Mike A.

hi mike yes the side are made out of solid panel.

picture of the racking full up with systainers. have driven around like this for the last 2 day and not problem at all.

Looks great with all the systainers in place.  Nicely organized and neat.  Do you plan on putting labels on some of the systainers?

Mike A.

Looks well thought out and very neat and tidy mate can I ask what the front to back measurement of your units are and what overall height did you make them?

I like the look of the AZ drawer solution and hope that it stands up to the rigours of the van.
The drawers came out after I changed my current van (trafic lwb) so I went with 18mm oak veneered mdf with solid oak for edge (don't judge me it was all off cuts or 2nd grade) see below.
I'm thinking about changing over to the drawers and transplant the current racking to the workshop.
Keep us posted on how there performing.

Hi Scott I nottrying to teach you how to suck eggs but you should never transport glass that way it should be on edge for transporting I did the same for a company and I smashed 6 duible glazed windows  [crying]

Ha ha well spotted.
The window was actually stood up but I was too lazy to remove it for the photo so laid it flat instead.
Good point though.

hi there the front to back measurement at the was start 500mm before scribing them to the side of the van. by the time they were fitted the front to back measurement at the top was about 320 and at the bottom in the middle of the van where the middle piller is it end up 390mm. i wanted to get them as close as possible to the side of the van. thats why the top draw has two systainers on it, as draw is 380mm deep and the systainer is only 300mm deep i then was able to scribe the racking back to the top systainer. the overall height is 1220mm plus 18mm top and bottom.
I have had no problems with the draw's at all, as of yet and the roads around here are rubbish.

Cheers mate  [thumbs up] after seeing vans like yours racked out on "FOG" it's given me inspiration to get mine sorted out, picking some 18mm ply up tomorrow to make a start

my new racking
Hi all, had a bit of free time so I have added some extra storage to the racking above the draws, this is to store my 2 x 2700mm rails, rail bag, site light, and all my levels[attachimg=1]

Hi again, a few of you asked me to report on how the draw's have held up after a few months on the road. Well all I can say is I haven't had any problem at all, it has made getting tools in and out of the van so much easier and enjoyable and my customer love it. I have still got a lot of work to do to the other side of the van. To even out the weight and to make life even easier, my last van was racked out on both side, but wasn't the best this time I am taking it slowly.
