The best price I’m seeing is $100.00 + tax + free shipping from Walmart, third party seller.

It's $27/pint and $45/quart from Woodcraft, so $100/gal seems almost a little low, even given quantity/size discounts.

I would vet the seller thoroughly first.

Pretty safe to order through Walmart.  Walmart, like Amazon, makes their 3rd party vendors to behave responsibly.

My problem is that paint (all finishes, really) have gotten expensive during the pandemic, and once the manufacturers saw that people would spend the higher price, they’ve kept it up there.

Are you purchasing or selling?

If purchasing just look at the internet.

If selling...just find the right buyer.

Walmart and Amazon are not listed as dealers by General Finishes.  The local dealer is 18 miles away and will not quote prices over the phone.  So to get a dealer price I will have to travel 36 miles and then another 36 miles to pick it up.

Aside from the time involved, that is about 4 to 5 gallons of gas or $14.00 to $17.50.

But if I know the fair price, I can make an informed decision without that expense or time investment.

Mine cost is $160CDN ($117 USD) from my supplier.  So what you have doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities, since our Canadian suppliers have the overhead of cross-border freight first.

Thanks everyone for the relative costs.

I will order from Walmart today.
