What is difference in 1400 and 2200 router fences?

I have a 1400 router that came with the edge guard fence in the systainer.  I do not have a 2200 router but plan to add one in the future so about a month ago I put a low bid on a 2200 fence on E-Bay.  I ended up winning the auction.  Tonight I compared my two fences side by side and they look the same.  Both have casting #230 and 00469618.  The rod sizes are the same.

My question-how does a 2200 fence differ from a 1400 fence?  I think I now own two 1400 fences instead of a 1400 and 2200.  This was purchased on E-Bay from a dealer that was clearing out old returns or items not in original packaging.  The 2200 fence is # 494680  and the 1400 is 492636.  I just want to make for sure I am not missing something.

Thanks.

Great answer from [member=3513]PaulMarcel[/member] - if you want a visual guide, seehttps://www.festoolownersgroup.com/...0-and-of1400-edge-guides/msg561328/#msg561328

What I would say though, is two edge guides on the 1400 is actually very useful so if you got a great price on the second, I'd hang on to it. Great for edge routing and many other tasks. I used mine to fit a multi-point locking system and intumescent strips to a door for example.

Thanks Garry and Paul.  Yes, I have two 1400 router bases.  The rod holes are the same size on both units.  The one I bought on E-bay was "not in original packaging" and my bid won at $41.00, so at least I did not over-pay.  I will keep the extra and see if I have an "opportunity" to use both.
