Hello! First time post from a long time lurker here,I bought a MFT/3 (ever so slightly used) yesterday and am in the process of setting it up. While moving it around the shop and cleaning up at the same time I found this piece lying on the floor. I can't tell where it goes nor can I find it on EKAT . 5cm wide x14.5 cm long .It has  number on the back 3007774 and >PA6< as well Does anyone recognize this?Does it even belong on my MFT3?

Not sure what that is, I dont think it belongs on a mft though. Could it be something for a hand plane blade ??? Looks like a sleeve for the blade??? Maybe some close pics might help...

Doh!!! Thanks! I knew this was the way to find out. Thanks so much!Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees!

Glad to see a happy ending here!
I just got into a similar experience.  Two new tools (not Festool  [sad]) came on the UPS truck the other day.  They are pretty similar and both need some assembly and have optional parts, so that not all parts are on the tool at any one time.
Like a fool, after finishing the assembly of tool one, I did not neatly put away all the parts and get it away from my workbench.  Halfway into the assembly of tool two, I suddenly realized that I couldn't tell the extra tool 1 parts from the tool 2 parts. [scared]  Took about an hour to sort it out, but hopefully I have learned a good lesson.  [embarassed]

Yep.Learning is good! The thing that confused me is that >PA6< number on the part, there is a >PA number on the plastic lever of the guide rail supports as well ,so I just figured(assumed) that they had to be related!

The PA6 is a plastic formulation designation.  I found that out while searching for the answer.
