I used them before and I did it again this weekend.  They work great with my OF1400, but the problem is how to setup (fast and accurate) the flush trim router bit.

I am using plywood and using hardwood (maple) to cover the edges, so I used the flush trim router bit, edge plate and angle arm.  I had to try several times to adjust them so It will remove the excess and have a flush edge.

This is how I did it.

1 - Install the accessories to my of1400 and trim router bit.
2 - Adjust the bit height and micro adjustment to have the bit very close to the plywood.
3 - Set the router on top of the plywood and slide it and see if the bearing moves, so I know is touching the plywood.
4 - Make a test cut, if it is not flush then repeat step 2.

It should be an easier way to this, I followed all the reviews and instructions and all of them show how to install the accessories to the router and make the cut, what I am not able to find isa simple way to adjust it, or is it always trial and error until the flush trim cut the right amount from the hardwood?

???

Plunge router bit to the lowest position. Then lean cutting edge of the router bit to piece of wood. I use my workbench's edge because it's thick and square, so most pressure goes to the router's sole, not a router bit.  then lowering edge plate to flush. Please note, if edge plate is not securely tighten, it has small play. Then I reduce plunge depth to the width of edging plus few mm more.

Brice,

I am ok with that, the result is so good and fast after you get it setup that i am willing to spend some time at the begining.  It is amazing, you get it right and then you fly flushing the edges with an amazing results.
