I used them before and I did it again this weekend. They work great with my OF1400, but the problem is how to setup (fast and accurate) the flush trim router bit.
I am using plywood and using hardwood (maple) to cover the edges, so I used the flush trim router bit, edge plate and angle arm. I had to try several times to adjust them so It will remove the excess and have a flush edge.
This is how I did it.
1 - Install the accessories to my of1400 and trim router bit.
2 - Adjust the bit height and micro adjustment to have the bit very close to the plywood.
3 - Set the router on top of the plywood and slide it and see if the bearing moves, so I know is touching the plywood.
4 - Make a test cut, if it is not flush then repeat step 2.
It should be an easier way to this, I followed all the reviews and instructions and all of them show how to install the accessories to the router and make the cut, what I am not able to find isa simple way to adjust it, or is it always trial and error until the flush trim cut the right amount from the hardwood?
???
