I saw the new ad on ToolNut for the SYS-Rock BR10.  Can I use the $50 coupon I got with the PRO5 Sander with this? I understand the coupon is for 'powertools'.  From elsewhere on this forum, it was stated that Festool considers any powertool "something that has a serial number".

So.. does the new SYS-Rock BR10 have a serial number?  On the ToolNut site, it states alongside the advertisement of the BR10, that you can save 10% when purchased with a vac or mft/3 with a power tool... leading me to believe Festool considers this a powertool... ie qualifying for the coupon.

Anyone?  Anyone?

The SYS Lite has a serial number, I'd expect the SYS Rock to also have a s/n.

Yes. The SYSROCK is considered a tool, so it will apply.

I think that it might seem weird to call it a "tool", but all of our products are categories as "Tool", "Accessory" or "Consumable".

Is that how you recharge too? That would prove my theory that you are, in fact, a tool selling robot from the planet Cybertron.

Seems like a no brainer to buy a sysrock when you buy a new vac,  being that the radio is $119 you get 10% off a vac.  You would save $67.5 on a ct26.  That means you would only pay $51.50 for the radio.

Ok I'll ask it, what are the cheapest items you can get that you can use the $50 voucher on?
Sysrock?
Syslight (single)?
Sander?

The Sys-Rock is the best deal in my opinion at $119.

Followed by:

- SysLite UNI, $57 with no battery (edited - I had the wrong price, whoops)
- Syslite II, $195
- ETS 125 REQ, $195 (price may vary, whenever it reappears from backorder)
- CXS/TXS Drills, $235
- Trion Jigsaws, $250

etc...

I looked at that uni torch also... however, it seems to require a festool battery (not included)..  As I don't have a battery, I'd have to buy that separate or purchase a drill/syslite to get a battery.  The Sys-rock seems to have a AC adapter, so while it works with a battery, it can also be plugged in.  I think if I go with actually using this coupon on something, I'm going with the sysrock, as I don't think the drills or sys-lites are worth my extra money, despite the $50 savings...

...at least that's what my wife told me to think...  !

Does that mean that if you buy a CT and MFT you can get the 10% package discount on one of them?  Assuming at least the CT is a tool, even if the MFT is not?

[member=63643]cpw[/member], yes, absolutely. You can order the Sys-Rock as a package on our website and get the 10% off. Doing so, you can get the Sys-Rock at $38-85 off depending on the CT model.

Shane, I didn't mean with the SYS Rock.  Tyler's post just got me thinking about what counts as a tool for the discount.  I've been thinking of adding a CT Mini and a second MFT.  I'm wondering if I can count the CT as a tool to get an MFT discount.

CTs are considered tools. I'm not sure that we'd thought of it specifically, but you can combine the PRO 5 rebate with the CT/MFT package discount.

MFT/3 has a serial number, I've been told it's a tool, the owners manual shows the 3 year warranty and refers to it as a tool.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Festool does consider both of them tools. However, I've never seen this bundle considered a package by Festool. It was never advertised in the catalog as a package.

[member=57769]TylerC[/member], can you confirm 100% that MFT+CT is a valid package that qualifies for 10% off?

If you can bundle MFT+CT, then you could bundle two CTs or two MFTs. I have never known this to be a valid combination for package discounts.

This is an interesting one that I hadn't really considered before. The package is a CT or MFT plus a tool. I've never heard of anyone doing CT and MFT, so I'll double check.
