What is the underside clearance of the Kapex extension wings?

Hoping some kind FOG user will be able to pop down to their workshop and give me an exact width measurement on their Kapex KA-UG extension wing clamping mechanism, from outer edge of Kapex V-groove, to lateral edge of underside clamp.  Many thanks.

Reason:  My Kapex sits in a lowered cabinet of my shop-made miter station.  When I built it I didn't think I would need the Festool extensions, so didn't leave much space on the sides.  Now I have a need to make a lot of repeat cuts for a project, and the wings with multiple flag stops would really speed up the process.  Here's the problem:  I only have an absolute max 118 mm from the side of the Kapex to the side of the adjacent countertop.  I need to know if the underside clamping mechanism of the wings will fit in this space.  Otherwise I'll have to come up with some less elegant solution like raising the entire saw out of the well, and float the wings above the countertop (which would suck).  Thanks.

I'll be glad to measure mine for you, but need to better understand what it is you're trying to do/need measured.  Can you post a pic of the extension with what you want measured marked?  If I understand correctly, your saw is in a station with the countertop flush with the center deck of the Kapex.  Without raising the saw, how would you use the extension wings in conjunction with your countertop?

A pic would have been better; I'll try to get one posted later.  In the meantime, imagine a miter station with three base cabinets and three countertops.  The middle cabinet is lower height than the ones on either side.  The Kapex sits on a height-adjustable platform on the middle countertop.  Right now the Kapex deck is adjusted to be level with the left and right countertops (a standard miter saw workstation layout).  The plan if I buy the wings is to raise the Kapex deck up a bit and attach the extension wings such that the wings would sit flush on top of the left and right countertops for support.

The problem is the left and right edges of the Kapex deck (where the v-grooves are) have limited clearance before banging into the sides of the left and right countertops.  If I order the KA-UG extension wings, I'm worried that the included mounting hardware will not have enough left and right clearance, and hit the countertops that the wings would sit upon.  What I'd like to know is how far to the side does the undersurface mounting hardware jut out from the edge of the Kapex body?  Thanks.

Edit:  here's the dimension I need (attached)

That dimension, per your photo, is 4".

However, you will want to have the cabinet for your Kapex the same height as your side cabinets. The Extension Wings' leg brackets are designed to also serve as short legs when the legs are folded in their upright position. These 'short legs' raise the Wings up off the bench to the same height as the bed of the Kapex. So, there won't be any clearance issue between the cabinets as they will all be at the same level.  [smile]
