So... just a curious person... what is it used for?...they were quite remarkable when they first became available.
It looks like a beer bottle opener...is that it?

Hand-made, $225.00 bottle opener? I can’t imagine.So... just a curious person... what is it used for?

Yes, but as noted, I've never paid more than the price which the maker sets, so for mine:So... just a curious person... what is it used for?

Agreed. Let me add that buying Festool swag (hats, t-shirts, pencils) seems nutty to me.Hand-made, $225.00 bottle opener? I can’t imagine.
I'm always down for some kitsch gear, but with age I've learnt to be a little more selective on what cool looking but useless trinkets I buy. While the inner child nearly broke a wrist to buy the Festool Pizza Cutter, the adult child in me thought "that'll be fun to clean"!Agreed. To each his own.
I'm a little selective, but I fully admit that something dumb that makes me laugh will win. I have dumb trinkets hiding all over just because they make a smile. The pizza cutter would fall into that category.I'm always down for some kitsch gear, but with age I've learnt to be a little more selective on what cool looking but useless trinkets I buy. Yeah I'm definitely more guilty of that than most people I know, but sometimes it just can't be helped. I made this novelty purchase from whiskymofo just half an hour ago for our two youngest, but I'm not entirely sure how thrilled the missus will be!I'm a little selective, but I fully admit that something dumb that makes me laugh will win. I have a couple of hats and a handful of T-shirts, but they were all given to me. They came in swag bags at shows or as a "bonus" from the local dealer, who isn't allowed to discount.Agreed. Let me add that buying Festool swag (hats, t-shirts, pencils) seems nutty to me.

It's very hard for me to say.....but I probably don't need any more routersI just picked up one recently too. Seems like a well designed router. I used it to cut out a circular table top and was nice to not wrestle with a cord.
All my other cordless tools are Makita 18V was disappointed they only offer a cordless router in the 40V battery line. I do have a couple DeWalt batteries but thinking of getting one of those Makita to DeWalt adapters.
Oh....so you've bought the OF2200 then? ;-)It's very hard for me to say.....but I probably don't need any more routers
Probably was in there intentionallyOh....so you've bought the OF2200 then? ;-)
Otherwise I'm calling shenanigans!
I always liked the low down side handles on the 890, they'd be insanely useful for free handing inlay work. Or dovetails if the motor was up to it. That's part of why I love the ELU MOF177 so much, they have really well designed side handles that help greatly with controlling it.I never have liked the PC 890, so it might free up some space and $ too.
I recently purchased the mortise/tenon sizing gauge from AliExpress. Not used it yet, but well made and promises to be useful ...

Derek, this is my new mortise/tenon sizing gauge...
I do like the look of yours, though! It looks like it works on a similar principle to my Hongdui kerf maker
