I have a new TS-55R module.
What saw fits this module I think I have a TS-55REQ-Plus saw.
So is this the correct saw for this module?

Thanks
Rick

I think the R stands for the German equivalent of Revision & one might think that the R-module is intended for these saws (the E-B-Q and other letter-designations seem to indicate variations of accessories), and not the original TS55.

I have recently bought a second hand TS 55 module.
This was intended for the model that has the designation without the “R”.
After some research I found that the differences lies in the riving knife (and the flanged bolt that belongs) The steel moulded piece that captures the handle is also different.
But these two items seems to be the only difference. I ordered these parts as spares and now I have a module that’s accepts both TS 55 saws.
As it happens it seems with some drilling and tapping you may also have the TS 75 module work with a TS 55 and TS 55R. The hole for the saw blade and riving knife is longer on the TS 75 module, as a result one of the capture plates are further back - this can be moved forward (drilling two holes) to fit length of TS 55(R) saws.

If your module says TS 55R and your saw says the same, you should have everything right.

TS = producttype, in this case TS = TauchSäge (in German, which translates to "DivingSaw"  [wink])
E = electronics
B = quick brake (from the German "Bremse" (Brake).
Q = plug it
Plus = Systainer

The R is to differentiate the current TS55 from the orginal one. There are some differences yeah; the depthstop now has separate indicator for cutting depth with rail (no need to add 5mm). You can saw closer to a wall because the vacuum connection doesn't protrude. And something with the splinter guard I think.

Could you please share the part numbers of these spares ? I don't want to make any mistake ordering them.

Cheers,

Vincent
