What should I charge?

Hey guys,

I think somebody wants to buy my DF500 domino (paid $1,040), RO150 rotex sander (paid $620), and ts55 track saw (paid $590). Everything is about 2 or 3 years old and has barely been used. They're basically brand new just been sitting around for a couple years. I would also include two full bags of dominos, two drill bits, and 2 tracks for the saw and 3 sustainers. What do you all think would be a fair price to charge?

In my experience Festool typically commands 80%+ of new.

Yah. 80% to 85% of the current retail price is about right, assuming the conditions are as good as they can be. Clean them well beforehand. I'd offer a small discount if the buyer takes everything, saving me time to list and deal with different buyers.

Festool prices are expected to go up every year (except for that pandemic disruption year(s?)). If the economists are right about labor shortage, supply chain issues, etc., prices will go even higher. As I said before, I hardly lose any money over the three Festool machines I sold, thanks to the past annual price increases.

Losing value vs losing in $/€/£ denominated price are two different things.

Yeah, most Festools sell used for extremely high proportions of their current new. As if the warranty is worthless.

Thanks for the advice info. I'll offer him 75% of retail and stand firm at that. If he says no, do you all know if there is a Festool marketplace I could put them on?
