What size are the holes in the MFT top?

I replaced the top on a MFT with a piece of MDF.  I don't really use the holes so I plan on just drilling enough for the guide stop assembly, but wanted to get the size before i search for a metric bit.  Thanks

I was told 19mm and bought the bit from Festool.  I bored my table and used birch ply to lose weight on the table.  Mission accomplished, the table is much lighter.  C Hughes

I just measured 5 of the holes in mine and they are a shade under 2 centimetres (that is 19.87 milimetres).

Anyhow...  I bought the appropriate bit from Festool and bored a but load off holes.  It was a party.  C Hughes

Ah... birch ply...

That is a stupendous idea... I think I will copy that idea when this one dies. However, I've just cut up some spare 6mm MDF sheets as 'temp' cover when I am cutting up laminates, so I might have to wait a little longer... I can also appreciate the "hole party" you have had, I had one too...

The sizes of the holes and their spacing crops up from time to time, and you might like to check my reply and those of others in the "MFT Hole Pattern Measurements?" thread back in December.

I used a router with a pattern following bit and used the old table top as my pattern. The job took about 30 minutes, since I only copied the holes along the top and bottom edges.
