I know that I am always searching for video content on Festools and imagine that many of you are also.  So, what tool videos are you interested in seeing?

Peter

Hmmmmm, this is a good question. Maybe more on the routers in conjunction with the tracks, or the Domino in different applications. Anything that is more project based instead of just tool reviews, although I love those too. It's nice to see the tool perform some actual work, particularly for someone like me who isn't as experienced I dont' always know the range of all the tools.

But my list would be:

Routers
Joiners
MFT Table

I would like to see Halfinchshy do a Kapex tutorial, especially one on setting the lasers.

i would like to see a video series done by proper builders etc  doing up a whole house .
start with demo ,then 1st fix carpentry (wiring ,plumbing etc) , taping +jointing,2nd fix,. im sure there are plenty of odd jobs that would be interesting to seen done
demo guys are great but they dont show the real world use of the tools

I would like to see more information/video's on the rarer tools like CS 50, CS 70, SYM 70, VS 600, KF 5, Rustofix, PF 1200 and AXT 50 LA.

All other tools have been discussed to death on this site already.

I'm very curious about the KF 5 for instance, but there's not single word about it on the web.

I agree!

Festool USA should send Paul "Halfinchshy" a Kapex for a review and let him keep it. I couldn't tell you how much money I've spent on Festool, and others, because of his reviews.

Thanks Paul and Festool,

Daniel

I'd like to see Honeydokreg dressed in a white ape suit doing the macarena and pole dancing….

Oh wait, wrong message board [big grin]

Actually , Id like more info on the LR 32 system. I have it and there are videos how to drill the shelf holes but there are so many other things it can be used for.

One use I would really like to learn is how to drill the cup hingle hole in doors, I imagine the length of the doors them selves have to be  divisable by 32mm.

Also the domino 500 assessory uses.

Plus I really like the various jigs and methods of work that folks here post.

Oh yea, anything by our european members like Guido, they amaze me in both the simplicity and ingenuity of the jigs they come up with along with their methods of work.

I guess because festool is a euro system and they do things the euro way (if that makes sense).

I have been thinking alot about this lately too. Real world apps are always best.

We have a project coming up in which we will pair with a really good custom builder on a 6k sf partial gut and remod. The builder is as much of a green nut as we are. Its alot of work, but I hope to put together some across the board footage of how they work with their tools on the project and how we prep and finish behind them.

Very time consuming. I just finished a 4 1/2 minute video that we must have dozens of hours into by now.

How about video taping the Festool Classes?  I would love to attend but it is a little difficult being 12 hr drive away for a class that is always full.  More than 100 people want to attend to 6 available sits.  I don't like my chances anytime soon.

More project based videos so one can see the tools in use.  There are so many ways to use the tools and a non-Festool employee brings credibility.  It would behoove Festool to sponsor build videos.....even if they brought in a professional woodworker to a controlled environment.  Felder has some good videos.....like the demo with Frank Klausz.  I really liked this video that Felder did for there combination machine:

Thanks!  Actually, I have a Kapex that I've been moving around to keep out of the background since I wasn't ready to do a review of it.  I had hoped to do one while installing crown, but that lady decided to move back to New Mexico.  So it's on the list and should get done after the current video is out cuz it is consuming all available hard disk space  [blink]

I'd love to review a BS-105 with frame  [tongue] doing a marquetry project  [cool]  If not me then somebody else!

A video showing the TS55 making several rectangular plunge
cuts in plywood would be awesome.

Thank you,  [smile]

I also would like to see a video of the classes. Very hard to get in

And agree that a practical building vid would be nice

Thanks,
Chuck

Oh Lordy. Now I really really want one of those machines. And to have Seth give a comprehensive course on its workings.

I would hate to guess the cost of that particular setup though.

another vote for the practical build video.  i watched the below video on domino drawers and it made me want want a festool router, MFT, and CT (i only have the domino).  when you see this stuff in real world use, that's when the light goes off and all of a sudden you "need" that tool.
