What's New for Festool in 2020

Interesting bit of kit, thanks for sharing! Hopefully doesn’t fall victim to the NAINA. Always enjoy the limited sets Festool produces

I see it on the UK website too, but not the USA one.
seeing as the hex keys and spanners are metric, I suspect it wont be released in the US.

Its a nice set, but these are tools I need to have to hand immediately and hence in my shop are on the wall. If I'm away doing a job then they are the sort of tools I throw in a caddy. Don't think I'll be spending £200 on this.

Here's Festool Live Episode 20 on the Vac Sys.

At the 24:30 minute mark the new Positioning Aid is introduced. Pretty slick.

First post!

I got my TS55 last month (my first festool) and am very happy with it. When helping someone else out I suggested the same and noticed on the Toolfest.co.uk website (a uk retailer) that they list the following "576009 Circular plunge saw TS 55 REBQ-Plus-FS GB 240V (supercedes 561583)"

Anyone have any idea what's changed to warrant them using a new production number? The 576009 is also the number now listed on the festool website. The saw I bought just a month ago was the 561583 set (saw, systainer, blade, 1400 rail etc).

Yeah, I just googled it and looks like 561583 is in the old T Loc but 576009 is in the new sys3.

I would be happier with the one you got  [smile]

Does anyone know what the Kapex promo (Kapex, stand, and wings)  shipping dates/supply is looking like in the US? The first wave went out in mid-September, but I haven’t heard much since then.

Thanks [member=44099]Cheese[/member] .  I had missed this episode and I just got my Vac-Sys. He has a long segment on the mounting board options.  Its pretty cool.  I made simple one Sunday but maybe now I will enhance it.

My vendor told me last week that the positioning aid would be available in about two to three weeks, a date that's still subject to change.

The expected delivery date for new orders is after mid Dec.

We're pretty vigilant with updating our website with backorder information. If you place an order today, we would expect your Kapex and UG to ship on or around 1/15 based on the latest info from FUSA.

Note that the Kapex promotion ends on 10/31.

According to this new Festool Live cordless sander video the new Positioning Aid will not be available until Dec. 1st.  [sad]  [sad]

The entire video is well worth watching but the Positioning Aid announcement is at the 15 minute mark.

My local vendor says if we place an order for the aid NOW, the estimated delivery is in Dec. Perhaps the orders already placed in August will be here soon?

[member=57948]ChuckM[/member] I think I posted this already in my thread about the sanding aid, but ALL orders for it were delayed from Festool USA due to supply issues from Germany.

ETA - We try to be very proactive and notify our customers via email any time there's an unexpected delay for delivery.

Thanks, Shane, for the heads-up. Luckily, I don't have anything planned that could use the positioning aid until spring.

Unfortunately I do... [sad] [sad]...I started to stockpile projects in late July for the initial release in September. Then October...then November...now December. I’m now running out of room to store these projects.

Oh well, after viewing several videos I’m sure the wait will be worth it.  [smile]

I feel for you. I had a project completed in Sept. which could've been the first test for the accessory, if not for the d-e-l-a-y. I had to use the old method: hand sanding.
