Yes, it is me. I am lying in bed staring at the clock waiting for surgery tomorrow morning. It is cancer. It all has happened so quickly since I went to a general practitioner on August 4th. The final diagnosis wasn't completed until last Friday about noon.
My cancer is testicular - with a twist. The tumor is actually in my abdomen and although you really can't see a difference - and I am a skinny guy - and am 20 pounds skinnier than in any of my videos - the mass is about the size of 6 - 500 ml water bottles. That is not a typing error. I am extremely fortunate that my tumor is even more rare and that it is extremely fast growing - AND as such EXTREMELY CURABLE thru the use of chemo. Because of all these situations, my age - mid 50's, luck, and probably the good karma and thoughts by friends and family, the Cancer Research Center arm of the National Institute of Health is providing the medical care to me at no cost in exchange for the rights to the tumors and the data obtained thru the surgery and treatments for their research.
That my friends is what is in my mind considered a miracle whereas at this time I am uninsured.
The chemo rounds starting in 11 days will be brutal, but thru it all I will have the FOG.
With all sincerity, thank you for your thoughts and wishes. The FOG has seen me thru a lot in the last 5 years, and I am sure the goodwill will help get me past this obstacle also.
