]BEWARE THE PLASTIC STRAPPING

Hi Guys,
Had a bit of a problem with a Kapex today. Not with the saw itself but with the bloody packaging.
My first sale of the day was a KS120 to a new customer and while helping him put it into his car he gave the box an unexpected twist which caused my finger to slide under the plastic strapping and before I could do anything I had dislocated the top joint of the ring finger on my left hand.
My customer didn't notice so once he was on his way I popped the joint back into place and headed off to the  emergency department of the local hospital. I ended up snapping the tendon as well as damaging a few muscles so I'm looking at 10 weeks in a cast.

Bugger

My advice to you all is beware the box, and those bloody black plastic straps. They'll get you when you least expect it!!!!!!!

Cheers

Couldn't you have repaired your finger with a Domino Tendon joint ?

[unsure] [sad]

In high school football, I snapped a tendon on the top of my thumb. I thought it was just a sore joint, so I decided to play the rest of the season while taping up my thumb every game. I went to the doctor after the season was over and found that the tendon retracted all the way to my wrist. So surgery was due. They opened up the top of my thumb, reattached the tendon, and then put a pin through the distal and proximal phalanx (first two bones). The pin actually stuck out through the tip of my thumb too.

Glad you caught the tendon early so you didn't have to go through the reattachment process I did :)

Arg!  Sorry to hear.  I would not be able to manage my stir crazy self if I was in a cast for 10 weeks.

As of today The Tool Nut will no longer load Kapex's into your vehicle ;)
