Where do Australian owners buy from?

Greetings from Sydney, Australia!

I am a Festool newbie.  Just bought my CXS.  Of course, my thoughts then go to what other Centrotec accessories I would like.

From what I can tell, Australian dealers/online stores do not have the range that some of the non-Australian online stores have, e.g. I am looking to buy the Festool Centrotec Assembly Package 497628, and can only find one Australian online store that sells the item, but they do not provide you with the price.  (I presume they need to order from overseas and will quote you once they confirm their overseas price.)

My question: where do Australian owners regularly buy Festool tools/accessories from?

TIA,
John

[member=71667]jp1[/member] - Prices are locked here, John, so you can just buy direct from Festool Australia. If you want to look/feel first, Sydney Tools, United Tools, Total Tools all carry Festool. Northern Abrasives and Tools are in Sydney and I have ordered from them before - excellent customer service, but I'm not sure how much they have in store as I'm in Melbourne.

Tough to get hold of non-locally available bits due to Fe$tool’s controls, but there are ways. Not the stuff for public forums as I’m sure the loopholes will be closed quickly if officialdom found out.

There are some eBay seller who’ll send internationally. Just keep totals (including shipping) below AU$1000 or you’ll get stung for import duties.

You could also set up an Auspost US forwarding service called Shopmate (prices are reasonable, but there’s no way getting around the cost of international shipping) which will give you a US delivery address. Buy online in the US, and Auspost will forward for you.

If you want impeccable customer service I highly recommend Anthony at ideal tools. Most products are free shipping from memory.

In regards to that centroctec set, I haven’t seen one for sale here in Australia. About 12 months ago I got a 2013 centrotec kit for what I’m pretty sure was cost price from a Sydney retailer (VEK). I’m almost certain they have multiple centrotec systainers from 2015 (the one with the sockets) for a decent price too.

I also got some snappy centrotec Robertson bits from JPM tools in Melbourne. They cost a bit bit well worth it in my opinion.

Was looking at Atlas robertson bits...they deliver world wide. $30Au for a good range of sizes, $84 postage. Im still looking for some drivers for Robertson.
