I bought a recon Vecturo kit a while back, but hadn’t put it to much use since I have several multi tools that get used and abused (Dewalt cordless, Fein MM plug-in).  But the other day I discovered the circular wood blade that comes in the Vecturo kit.  Combined with the cordless power of the Vecturo, this thing was just the ticket to flush up plywood sheathing window openings that were hastily and wavily cut with a jigsaw operated by my better half. 

SO MUCH better than regular multitool blades to be able to plunge and then move laterally.  Also a fair bit faster than regular multitool blades.

In addition to this pleasant discovery about my new favorite multitool blade, I see that it normally costs $90+, with the Fein equivalent costing ~$65.

I love my Fein Supercut, it uses the older style blades and have most of the styles currently available.  The circular blades are great, especially use the flush cut which has the dimpled attachment area.  Another great blade is the curved.  I have Fein, Festool and love Bosch blades.  I use the adapter that allows the older style adapter to use the new style blades

My go to blade is the Bosch carbide starlock (1-1/4”), which cuts through nails like butter, especially helpful in surgical renovation situations where a Sawzall won’t fit or would be too heavy-handed.  I tend to keep those on my Fein almost exclusively.  Usually I won’t use a multitool to cut wood unless there’s literally no other option because the blades get dull quickly, it’s noisy, and dust control is less than ideal. 

But for the operation mentioned above (not fine carpentry by any measure but I still like my work to be clean without putting a tracksaw or router on the wall while standing on a ladder), the blade was a pleasant discovery and I can see using it more.

Just be aware that those are all OS-400 blades, which are not compatible with Starlock, and cannot be made to be.  Starlock blades can be adapted and used on the OS-400, but not the other way around.

Yep. I had to do a double take and quick refresher of StarLock blades so I didn't end up with a bunch I couldn't use.
