I have heard that MDF is really hard on blades.  For cutting MDF with my TS55 should I use a different blade or the one it came with?

The blade that came with your saw will work well on MDF.  If you cut a lot of MDF or plywood or any other man-made product, the blade will need sharpening sooner than if you just cut "real" woods.

I've cut a lot of MDF with the 48 toother and it's always survived well.  I never noticed in degradation directly after cutting.  True that MDF has a lot of metals and junk it in so it's probably slightly abrasive, but it I get a lot of use from router bits on MDF to...  Have at it and have fun.
