So is this what you all are using to join face frames? :

or are you using the washer head cabinet screw and not setting it flush with the wood?
Those are trim screws. What Peter showed is what you want to use for face frame. For mounting cabinets to wall i use the large washer head, but we get ours with painted head to match the interior of the cabinet. It's like a light tan.

yeah, I hadn't seen the R4 screws when looked at their site.  I'm going to try those screws.

+1 on GRK.  I don't use anything else.  I can usually find them at Rockler and they just moved their store to within 10 minutes on my house!  [big grin] [big grin]

[eek] Drilling and coutersinking is for "old school craftsmen"
500 square foot Cumaru deck, 5 smart bits. 4 cobalt drill bits, 1700 10 x 3 316 stainless star drive screws
All boards pre drilled and coutersunk befor install. [smile]

OK, I will give you that one but, I don't remember the last time I saw kitchen cabinets made from brazialian hard wood.

R4's for joining boxes, and the cabinet screw for mounting to the wall.
