I am currently stripping/painting my 1929 home.
I researched paint removal, since I've got multiple layers of who knows what that is NOT easily sanded.
I stripped an entire garage with a Master heat gun. Worked ok, but was laborious and slow.
I looked at infrared strippers, but was put off by the price.
Google around. Lots available. The tube models look fragile. The Salamander elements appear robust.

Forget about the "legs" he includes. Useless.
Works as advertised. Paint comes off to bare wood with little residue, which I clean up with RO90.
No dust. Fast, cheap and complete removal.
I'm sold on this method.
Miserable job at any rate, but I've done LOTS of painting, and this is the least bad way to go for me.
Good luck!
