Which Festools do you use the most?

I use my T15, TS55, EHL65, Carvex, Kapex Festool tools the Most and (NON festool -Milwaukee Cordless M18 Circular saw the most)

I never use the EHL85  and hardly use the Domino

I use the T15 the most for all kinds of things (with the centrotec set together with most other centrotec stuff and polish pads and more)
Then the CT Mini
Then Guide Rails (does those count?) adn 7 meter long power cable (gotta' love that!)
Then the RTS400EQ and the ETS125 EQ
Then PS300EQ
Then OF1010EBQ
Then the TS55EBQ (but that one I just bought, and I will have to use often over this summer).

I would love a MFT3 but "time" will permit that later. So I make my own kind of working table, plus anywhere else I can get hold of, like stable outdoor garden furniture etc.

(I bought all since March this year, and I am hooked I guess. Since the first one (ETS125EQ), I got rid of much of my other tools, or they became "loaners").

I also use my blue bosch hammerdrill (corded) quite much, and my very good blue bosch drill (cordless), bit I guess it's kind off topic here  [big grin] I like them so much that I bought them once more and brought them  abroard, when doing something there (renovating appartments)

Cheers,
Jacques  ;)

This message is for Brice Burrell and Johnny round boy.  I use my mulit master very often.  I especially use it to cut shims when setting doors or installing cabinets.  I have found a cheaper alternative to the high cost blades.  I purchase my blades from bargainblade.com, yeah you would think that you get what you pay for but in this case I believe they are even better than the Fein brand of blades.  A bargain at around $12.00 a blade including the cost for shipping.  I really only use the cutting blades( I believe the one I purchase is the universal cut blade). I also try to only cut wood with them, you hit one nail and thats pretty much it.  I've had the same blade in use now for about 2 to 3 months and I almost use it every day....

I say the tool I use the most would be my ct 22, kapex and ts 55.  But it really depends on the day, some days all I do is sands with my ets 125, while others all I do is cut with the ts 55.  I probably use them all equally, but like was stated earlier in the post the ct 22 is used with everything.  I dont own any drills yet, one main reason besides price is because they dont have a LED light on them.  I'm always installing and when I use my dewalt that doesn't have a light I get frustrated, and it only cost me like $50.00.  I like the makita 18 volt drill and impact driver because of there power, battery life and LED.  Eventually I will get a T 15 or wait for the T 18 to come out.

I heard a lot of people complaining about the lack of a led light. Personally, for me a led light is not important. Somehow I can always see where I drill. Sometimes I think I must have nightvision.

Hi Alex,
Haha I had that too when I was 20Y.o. For example driving with a completely black visor in the night. Now, being 42 y.o. I can't even see through a clear visor on my helmet driving in the night time.
Back to lamp. I don't need it too often. But it comes in handy from time to time.

Cheers,
Jacques.

Well, I'm just glad I still have it at 38.  [big grin]

You must have "clearvision", at least concerning festools  [big grin]

Cheers,
Jacques  ;)

CT26, because its used with most other Festools
Domino
RO150/3
TS75
Kapex

Not in order. Its hard to guage exactly because some tools get used more on some projects and then neglected on others.

Kapex- completely genious miter saw that is actually accurate and I mean that. I use pretty strict tolerances for my work and the Kapex shines far above any other miter saw Ive used.

OF1010- simply the easiest router to use, extremely accurate and versatile. with the edge trimming plate many woodworking opportunities are exosed ( can you say sliding dovetails?). the dust port location isnt ideal though.

Domino- The best and easiest wood joining system. period! This tool has changed my life!

ETS150- with the vac sanding becomes a fun task. super smooth sander.

C12- just a lovely little drill driver that fits in my nail bag pouch. very pwerful for its size.

TS75- Great for straight lining lumber before jointing and quick break down of sheet goods and accurate enough for cutting long miters joints. I have made 20' long miter joints with this guy. Amazing!

CT22- supports all of the above and is the best vac for that. Very powerful and yet quiet. Not that it matters because you all should be wearing ear protection while working anyway.

In order of use, but I use another drill during the week, use a router table, table saw....

CT 22 - Although, I consider this an accessory

The T15 isn't "part of the set."  Well, depends how you look at it.  It goes in a systainer, is an efficient tool, and is very versatile.  I love the feel of this tool.  It's well balanced and very easy to control.  I like it so much, I don't use it much during the week when I mostly drill into mud and plaster.  I save it for the finesse of cabinetry.

i use the catalog the most really, i think it is badly designed as you have turn the page manually and the pages are losing there shine due to droll ingress, come on i would have thought they would make them wipe clean!!!

i acually use my t15 the most followed by the ts75. also usr the of1400 and the old body grip jigsaw. midi vac see quite a bit of use aswell

Im not a professional...

I would agree with everyone that drill drivers / impact drivers are easily the most used tools. My Panasonic Lithium Ions are used every week for somthing. I hate having to use a manual screw driver these days!  :)

Mft 1080,s get used all the time in the garage as my main work tables wether its mending bikes building golf clubs or wood working.

CTL22 gets hooked up to any power tool that it can and is used for cleaning the car and any cleaning that Mrs C's Meile vac shouldnt be used for!!

TS55 takes care of all dimensioning timber along with MFT or bigger guide rails.

OF1010 is the go to router for most things!

Domino gets least use at this time and is more of a future tool for me as I want to start building some furniture when I have the time.

The new small dual sander and a bigger router are the next things!

t 15+3
the ts55 and rail
d handle drill

are used the most, and I do this professionally.
and I use my kapex quite a bit also.

On pretty much every project, all the big 5 festools get used.

Cut wood to size with the TS55.
Route with the OF1400.
Join with the Domino.
Finish with the RO125.

All are connected to the CT22 when being used.

Actually these are the only Festools I own except for a hand sanding block!

Richard.

On the built in job Im doing now, I never put away in a Sys throughout the job

TS 75
1400
domino
ets 125
c12 drill

and I love the folding rule, also.  One day, a Kapex.  I use two CT 22s so I dont have to cart them all over the garage, very convenient, Eric

[laughing] [laughing] [laughing] [laughing] [laughing] This is the funniest thing I've read in your posts!!
But  [bite tongue] as I understand it, certain adult magazines are not wipe clean!! ;D ;D ;D

Yep! Fine woodworking, Furniture and Cabinetmaking and the Woodworker  are absolutely useless in a workshop spillage situation! PVA sticks the pages together [doh] and Danish oil makes them see thru' [eek]

Rob.

My TDK 12v drill/driver gets the most use, followed by the 150/3 sander. All my other Festool products get variable use based on the project at hand. Those tools include the OF1400, OF1010, Rotex 150, jig saw, track saw and MFT. This past week, the track saw got a lot of use as I am replacing a floor in the 250 year old portion of our home. I don't use it all that much in the shop because I have a slider.

Oh, quite obviously, the CT22 gets used with all of the above except the drill/driver... :)
