The Boom Arm will accept either size hose. The smaller D27 hose will lead easily through the Boom Arm's hose brackets. The larger D36 hose is a much tighter fit in the hose brackets -- you may need to loosen the bolts that fasten each of the two-piece hose brackets and retighten after inserting the D36 hose in place, or even go so far as to disassemble the brackets and reassemble once the D36 hose is in place.
If you do not wish to leave the larger D36 hose installed in the Boom Arm's brackets, you may want to simply attach it to the Boom Arm outside of those brackets. This is readily accomplished by hooking a large rubber band over the cord hook on each bracket, stretch around the hose and hook the rubber band on the cord hook on the other side of each hose bracket.
