Which kind of wax finish was used here?

I opened the pdf files under supplemental information and it says they are unfinished/untreated. They recommend using a soap finish which is popular in Scandinavia. You could do an internet search on this type of finish to get more information. I think there was a thread on the FOG about it, too.

No way to tell.  The black one is painted with Black Laquer according to the description, but the raw wood (Teak) may have been finished with anything... I would expect a weather resistant teak oil and buffed out.

I can tell you that in Germany, I've bought really quality furniture that has NO finish or wax. Some mfr's expect you to decide and complete.

Good luck with your quest.

Cheers,

Frank

i like that they are matte. maybe they are completely raw. wow, didn't know some makers sell furniture that is unfinished.

stupid me. the care instructions state that the oak and teak versions are untreated. they look great like that. i don't really like glossy furniture. it also talks about the natural soap and suggests using it to saturate and protect the wood. i like teak a lot. don't know why. i like the grain and the color.
