Which Router in Jessem Table is Best?

I'm treating myself to a fully decked out Jessem router table and need to decide on a router. The attached from their website lists the compatible models. I'm not concerned about the price of the router as much as I want to get the most capable one. I don't know much about non-festoon routers. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had a 7518 Porter Cable and a Kreg set up. Awesome router. You can run one for hours.
It's historically been the go to router for the heavy-duty router tables although I have a Hitachi m12vc and the big DeWalt and 625 with plates if I just have some chamfer work or something like that. I'd look for the 7518 router motor only it's as simple as getting the code to order one without any base because you're just going to slap it in that Jess M router lift, end of story. Enjoy the raw power of a great big router, my friend [emoji106]

That's good news. I actually have an unopened 7518 I bought years ago and never used. Duh.

You are mixing two classes of routers here. PC7518 and Milwaukee 5625 are ~3.5 hp, the rest are ~2.5 hp. Two large ones are better match for a dedicated router table.

That's the setup I have too, works well for me.

If it were me, I would go with the PC 7518.  That's what I plan to use when I upgrade my router table.

PC7518 is a great router. I think you will be happy with the 7518.

It is hard to beat a 7518 in a table.  Especially since you already have one.

I would eliminate about half the list just based on power. For table use bigger is better.

The other one that looks interesting on there--a rest best--is the Milwaukee.

I've been using a 7518 in a Bench Dogs lift for better than 20 years in my own made table, Inca Wonderfence, 17" Positioner, original  Dust Router extraction tool before Miles Crafter bought it and connected with a Festool CMS hose to a 50 mm hose.  Practically NO escaping debris.

My tool shop guy told me Porter Cable weren't going to make routers anymore. He said they'll keep fixing them as long as they can get parts, but after that they're history. So it might be a good idea to lay in a set of brushes.

I originally got my Jessem setup over 15 years ago or so with the PC 7518.  It worked just fine, but when Jessem was clearing out the rest of their 5626 routers with the external speed control that you could mount to the front of the table, I opted to get one of them which I've had in my Jessem table since.

One of the things I was told at some point was that the Milwaukee had better electronic circuitry over the 7518.  Not sure exactly what that means, but it came from what I felt was a trustworthy source at the time.  I'm not even a fan of Milwaukee products for the most part, but this machine made sense based on its own reputation.

I was talking to Jessem some months ago on an unrelated matter and got chatty with Patty over there with whom I've spoken to on occasion over many years and mentioned in passing how happy I was with the Milwaukee unit and how nice it was to have front mounted speed and on/off controls.  She mentioned they are working on something unique for a router option in conjunction with a third party for their router tables.  I didn't quite get the gist of what it was, but it sounded to me like there is something in development there that may be a game changer coming out by Jessem.  Time will tell.

I've been using the Hitachi M12VC in mine.  Not really a powerful router but I have no complaints thus far
