I originally got my Jessem setup over 15 years ago or so with the PC 7518. It worked just fine, but when Jessem was clearing out the rest of their 5626 routers with the external speed control that you could mount to the front of the table, I opted to get one of them which I've had in my Jessem table since.
One of the things I was told at some point was that the Milwaukee had better electronic circuitry over the 7518. Not sure exactly what that means, but it came from what I felt was a trustworthy source at the time. I'm not even a fan of Milwaukee products for the most part, but this machine made sense based on its own reputation.
I was talking to Jessem some months ago on an unrelated matter and got chatty with Patty over there with whom I've spoken to on occasion over many years and mentioned in passing how happy I was with the Milwaukee unit and how nice it was to have front mounted speed and on/off controls. She mentioned they are working on something unique for a router option in conjunction with a third party for their router tables. I didn't quite get the gist of what it was, but it sounded to me like there is something in development there that may be a game changer coming out by Jessem. Time will tell.
