I have an older house that may have lead paint.  Some doors and window sills are peeling and will be need to be sanded.  Which sander and vac would you suggest?

I’d also get a pro in, or chemically strip the paint.
I hear a lot, that once tools (sander) are contaminated by the effect of removing finishes that contain lead, that they are kept only for that specific use in the future. Because unless the tools, (sander) can be thoroughly and completely decontaminated, they still pose a health threat in use?

The extractor should be fine with a new bag and filter, and wiped whilst wearing a mask but, who knows?
You also have to dispose of the contaminated dust from sanding.

A safer method might be to wear protective clothing, mask, goggles and gloves etc, and use a chemical stripping agent?

Or call in a professional.
