I have an old Bosch SDS, with various accessories- should I get a S1 or S2 to house it? When it goes, will replace with a similar workhorse.

personally i would get a sys 2 -3 . i would put an insert in the bottom to hold all the bits you have . the drill itself should fit in a sys 1 if its narrow or a 2 if its average size

Thanks. My current thinking is;

1x S2 for impact/combi/drill bits
1x S2 SDS bits/accessories
1x S1 Jigsaw
1x Fixings box

I already have one for my TS55/ ROS
I have a veto for hand tools- not so good for 60cm level/hand saws
I also have a folding truck in the boot very handy!

I also carry a fair amount of sundries for every job- mastics/filler/mini rollers/packers/glue
These might go in an everything else box, but the aim is to be more productive.

Alpinist,

Where did you get your veto pro Pac ? What do you think of it ? I was thinking of getting the lc from Beasleys online they do have a shop but its in swindon not local to me. I really wanted to see one in real life first.

I use a sys-2 with attic to store a Metabo SDS drill. It just fits (because of the length of the drill). The drill has a rather long / thick cable and with a sys-2 I can just stuff it in without having to coil it neatly first. The attic contains the drills (5/6/8mm) and assortment of plugs. Very convenient  :)

I have had an XL for about 5 years, like most things is not perfect! Mine has about 50 hand tools in it, plus accessories like spare blades thus is heavy.
The zips can be annoying, but it carries well with the strap. Hammers/pry bars no problem. The tallness makes it awkward to pack in car boots. LC or open top version might be worth a look.

What is an S2 Midi or an attic?

i put my makita in a classic 2 , works for me. i used 10mm thick ethafoam and just carved it out as i built the layers
