Hi, have my workshop set up and most of my tools are festool which I love. Final machine I need is a table saw. Looking at the festool cs50 (don't have space for the cs70) or the dewalt dw745. Wondering if anyone has used both machines and which one they would reccommend. I'll be using the saw for cutting mdf and poplar.
Thanks monk

What type of cutting will you need to do, and what might you want to do in the future.

Are dados on your list, what about box joints.

Or do you only anticipate ripping and crosscutting.

There'll be a huge price difference between a CS50 and a Dewalt job site .. also major differences in cut capacity.

We'd need a little more input into your intended use if you want any useful advice.

Thanks for the reply and your right should have gone into more detail. The saw will be used mainly for cabinets, TV units bookcases so material will all be 18mm thick. I will be working on my own so I won't be ripping 8x4 sheets on the saw I have a track saw to cut sheets into a easier workable size. Again crosscutting I can do on track saw but would like to have the option for cutting drawer sides, plywood bottoms.
I see the pros of cs50
It's festool so I know it's a quality machine
Have crosscut option
Hook up to my extractor
Gives better workflow with better machine
Pros dewalt dw745
Cheaper saw
Bigger blade in machine
Takes up less space and can be wheeled away
Can use any blade in machine
A lot more reviews and advice on this machine

Any advice would be great cheers guys

I did have a look at the Erica and it's way out of my price range. Looks a great bit of kit though

If you want to accurately slice up 18mm stock and get your angles square I'd deffo be going a CS over any job site saw (including the Dewalt).

I mentioned the 60 as it is more likely to find a used one with someone moving to a larger 70 or 85. Someone put a new motor on a 30 year old Monika (Erika's older sister), but you are not in rural Germany.
