which tool on which hose?

It seems to me that somebody of the Teutonic persuasion must have taken this topic in hand...

Is there a list (maybe a matrix or set of matrices) of hose diameters, lengths, dust extractors, and tools that tells the user which goes with what? For example, CT 22E, hose length 3.5 M, TS 55 EQ saw - which hose diameter is better, 50 mm or 36 mm?

27 mm hose on the sanders, Domino, MFK 700.

27 mm and 36 mm hose fits all the other tools.

The Planex has its own 36 mm hose, this hose will work on any tool that will fit the ID. The lugs on the Planex hose prevents its OD use.

The CMS uses 27 mm and 36 mm at the same time.

Larger diameter hoses, when they fit, increases dust extraction. Length also affects dust extraction, shorter hoses increase dust extraction.  There is a trade off between diameter/length and ease of tool use.

You will also need the 27mm hose for the OF1010 router, plus the sanders, Domino and jigsaws.

Many of us prefer the 36mm hose with the plunge saws. You get better dust extraction with the 36mm hose. My experience is shared by a lot of TS55 users. The larger and stiffer 36mm hose hangs up less on the guide rails.

The hand planers and the larger routers, OF1400 and OF2200, clog less with the 36mm hose.

None of the Festools use the 50mm hose, but those are fine as hose extensions. There is a series of shop clean-up tools which use the 50mm hose. The other clean-up tools can use the 27mm but work more effectively with the 36mm hose.
