Left my hose on a light bulb on the floor and yep it melted!

On the plus side it now fits into the top of the ct sys vac much better.  [wink]

Anyone have any ideas for what I can do with the small bit thats left over?

Too little, too late for the owner of that set of lights.

I have some small bits like that used for adaptors for other tools - in fact the idea came from here. Costs a bomb in new adaptor fittings and stuff though.

You could make the Dave Ronyak Hose Adaptor. This adapter plugs into a D36 hose to reduce to a D27 tool end. One option that Boom Arm users like when they have a D36 installed on the Arm.

You beat me to it I was going to suggest that as well.
I have a 36 and a 27 hose on my Boom Arm. I switch between the 2 depending on the tool.
Though I am planning to go for the Gray Hose as it is a lot more flexable.

I also use a Right angle Muffel for the mini + Midi Vacs with a short section of hose stuck in a small box which is connected to a Vac. The box is screwed to the side of my drill, I can position the hose very close to my drills on my drill stand. It works well.

Just remove the hose end (should be two plastic clips), chop the end on the longer length so that it's square again, and re-thread the hose connector on.

And switch to LED bulbs, as someone suggested.

Cheers guys will look into that 36mm hose set up.

I have already cut it and stuck the nozzle back on hence it now fits in the ct sys much better  [wink]
