Why cant I use festool bit holders in my eccenctric chuck?

Like I said, I can't use them in my eccentric chuck.  They go in, but don't lock in, hut standard shank bit holders do.  Am I doing something wrong?  I looked inside the chuck to see if a magnet was stuck in there, but didn't see anything.

The Eccentric Chuck is made to be used with 1/4" hex shank wire detent bits. It's a wire detent locking mechanism, not ball detent or Centrotec.

Thanks Shane, I bought the drill used so I wasn't sure.

By far one of the best chucks, great for attaching drawer heads to drawer boxes.
